ok this is extremely important and urgent!!!!!!!
you need to do this right away!!!!!!
she will be fine for a few minutes.,..,.
go to your local supermarket....not the one by you...the one across town.......by some much needed supplies.....a blanket, a box, some beer, cleaning supplies ,a movie
when you get home the puppies will be there. lay down the blanket, but dont touch them!!!!
she may kill them if they have your scent.
clean up the mess, drink a beer , clean some more.
drink another beer, go watch a movie drink more beer , go to bed.......thats it....

laugh Actually this is the best advice offered so far!
I have seen horses, cattle, dogs ,and cats.....never had to worry bout the latter 2

Got the beer alreay! drinker smokin
just leave her be.... you can stress her by being around...I have seen dogs get up during birth(like 1/2 way out) trying to get away from you......also if you get in there and start touching them......they can and will sometimes kill their young.......
thats why you leave.....so go buy a different beer!!

LOL That's good her licking instinct is strong, just a bit premature!

What kind of dog & what's her name? I have a rat terrier named Olive.

Well you family is about to get bigger! laugh Start thinking of puppy names & saving to get her spayed.

I had a friend who named her beagle "Bagel"

Most of my animals seem to end up with food names.

i know im a little late to this, but just sit back and leave her alone. If she labors too long without pushing a puppy out, only then would i worry. you should be able to see the noses coming first with the front paws. 99% of the time there are no complications. best to just check on her from time to time and see that she clears the embryonic sac from their noses, otherwise they will suffocate. if she's licking them, she'll do this on her own. And no, she won't kill them if you touch or handle them, but is best to let them be for a while.

Maybe you scared her. Leave her alone in a quiet place, & chat with us.

yes if she is disturbed and moves around that is normal, you need to be quiet and keep the noise and activity around her to zilch

she will no doubt keep getting up and turning in circles like she can't get comfortable, but that is normal, if you can leave her in the room by herself

this is probably her first time, if she isn't freaking out with u there - ok, but she needs to pay attention to her contractions, there isn't really anything u can od but hold her paw, and above all else don't scream, ewwwwwwwww, or holler

I think Petey, Queene, Gypsy, Solitare & Little Ike are all good names for beagle puppies!
