hell if you dont want him send him my waylaugh laugh

That's all I would need to do to get a date with you? Give you a bag of goodies?

so are you asking?????

Well maybe... I'm just shocked at how easy that sounds. I'm more of the personal type. I buy things that have sentiment.

i think you misunderstood.. My ex never bought me anything that meant anything. always wahtever was in his path. I wanted something that came from the heart that he took time to find and that would be important to him as well. Sounds like this guy really likes her and wants to give her the fine things in life...nothing wrong with that

As long as he's not a stage 5 clinger, I think you're safe, it just sounds nice... not way too personal, but yet personal enough.

Depends on his personality maybe he comes from a giving family and this is the norm for him. If it makes you uncomfortable just tell him and ask that he tone it down next time. If he refuses to respect the way you feel then get antsy.

Personally I would have refused it and probably took off running........but then again darling I'm screwed up and have a fear of being bought. My ex Started out that way and everytime he "screwed" up he tried to buy his way out........I'm a bit jaded and don't advise it.

It was personal enough - we'd talked about my like of silver and jewelry and stuff - just as part of the conversation, I never gave the impression that I should be gifted with it. So it was nice that he remembered. Still a bit much, but I'll keep going as slow as I have and see what happens. bigsmile

First a hug for your birthday and I hope it has been pleasant..
Now to why I write...for every guy out here ,we are damned if we do and damned if we don't....a woman thing I guess but the guy treats you like gold and you take the time to ask us for advise....It is in your heart my dear....We already know his feelings and one should be thankful for friends like that...We all distrust so easily and the right mate may well slip through our world of skeptisism..
On a lighter note, you may worry that he bought those things because he felt you needed them..Question back to you would be ...would you ladies prefer money orders for your birthday?
Happy Birthday...............

Thanks Mike  It isn't by any means that I don't appreciate the gifts - I most certainly do - and told him as much in person, several times and via text a while later. I guess I've been out of the scene for a while and wasn't sure what to expect. I know he knows I don't need them so it isn't that.

I guess I'm just nervous and wanted some input - so thanks again to all flowers
