Sprinkle a whole chicken lightly with Lawrey's season salt & bake at 350 for about 50 minutes. Time will vary according to the size of the chicken. cut the thigh to the bone & make sure the juices run clear or use a thermometor. Bake some potatoes & brown & serve rolls while the ovens on. Serve with your favorite salad or green veggie. You could make one of those boxed potato cassaroles instead of bakers if you like them, or stovetop dressing.

This takes time to bake, but not much time to prepare, you can be doing other things while it's cooking. You will also have leftovers for a few meals.

Well, how old is your child?

Pick something healthy he can help you make.

Chicken Wraps...Flour Tortilla,Chicken, Lettuce, Carrots, Ranch dressing Cheese. Layer as read .Wrap. And enjoy!

What do you have on hand?
Ask him what he would like to help you make for Dinner.
My daughter is only 6 and helps every night.
Not to sound all motherly, but it will bring you closer together.
Just my thought to your question.ohwell

Very good advice...if they participate in the cooking they will want to try their handiwork. It was the only way to get my exs son to TRY anything new. He was such a finicky eater...cheese and crackers, apples, pizza and tacos where the only things he would eat when I first came into the picture...now, he cooks twice a week and fusses at his dads poor eating habits. Score!

Its amazing at how easy it is for them to participate. My daughter plays as if she is Rachelle Ray thinking it is just something we play, then when it is time to taiste her masterpeice.... She is All About the FOOD!

I just thought of a GREAT healthy snack and VERY cheap!

Ants on a Log!

Celery
Peanut Butter
Raisins
