actually washing the dishes as they are dirtied keeps things from drying on them and makes them easier to clean you dont have to wash for as long either cause you do it as you go.especially pots and pans were making sauces cleaning them right away makes the job alot easier .

I use dish soap that smells like oranges I currently live at a house where the dishwasher is just a decoration even though its brand new so I do dishes by hand
