Well you all were not there either so i need to respect that. I will be the first to admit I had a few drinks that night. But I never saw her. I was sitting at the bar and this man (the one she claimed I was chatting with) offered me a cigarette and began speaking. I never saw this woman until she had my head yanked back clear to her chest...

I would wait and see how may date handle it. And if started flirting back I would probably walk out. And if he was trying to stop it then I would go up and put my arm around him.

I'd simply walk up to him.. slide my arm around him.. lean in and give him a light kiss.. and say

"I'm back baby.."

then turn to the woman, bright friendly smile in place and say

"Oh.. I'm sorry but I don't think we've met..Hi, I'm Erin "myguysname"'s GF.. "

I don't blame you, and I would have had your back... she should have kicked his ass, and not attacked you.. He's the one who made a commitment to her, not you... so I'll go along with the white trash part.

Same kinda thing happened to me years ago sort of on the other end of the spectrum, I was dating this guy, and we were out with one of my friends, she didn't feel well, so I ran her home, was gone for 20 minutes, when I got back he was kissing some girl, I tapped her on the shoulder and said "excuse me for a minute" and blackened his eye... We were both in a wedding the next weekend (that's how we met)he had a black eye still, the brides father still calls me "tyson" and that was 16 years ago.

Hit on the person hitting on your date... they will backoff real quick-like.

Yeah Lily, that is different and if a man is going to be that disrespectful, then you don’t need him. At the time it sucks because you are in the moment so to speak but it’s not worth getting assault charges filed against you or even getting a bit of time. You can’t lay your hands on another in anger. Alcohol often interferes with that "judgment process" also

Well this was a few years ago for me also. I think the point is either way, don’t jump to conclusions and certainly think twice before laying your hand on another. The problem with many bar type brawls is people tend to "side up" immediately following so if it does become serious and police are called, good luck. Becomes a game of he said, she said.
