if you show an executions on tv do you really think that is going to solve anything?

i believe it would just add to the problem. society would love the "show" and next thing you know we would be sentencing innocents to death just for ratings.

jmo of course

I believe you are right about the "show". It is part of human nature. Otherwise, the Colossium wouldn't have been so popular....

People are blood thirsty.

I also support showing it on television, let people think before they commit a crime.

Any thoughts?

^^ Yep, I have a thought on this utterly ridiculous suggestion...STUPID! ohwell

Supposed "reality" TV and "DollyWood" films already project these gruesome images...and does this project "pause for cause" for the criminals? NOPE! *puhhhleeeeze*

Am I an advocate for capital punishment? Hmmm...gotta admit...still sitting on the fence on this one. I fall back on "DEPENDS". Sorry to be a wimp...but, that's where I straddle.

All I can say...openly, honestly and by real life experience...unless and UNTIL...you, and yes YOU personally, have experienced a tragedy in your life whereby you truly hold another's life in your balance...hold your judgment, please.

While we may "think" we are stedfast in our beliefs and morals...much like anything else, we never truly learn where we stand on a certain issue until it smacks us in the face...for REAL.

point taken, but that doesn't mean a person cant speculate what they think they would feel in that situation.

^^ Point taken as well..as long as folks acknowledge and accept that their "points" are, at best, SPECULATION!

Pretty easy, simple and non-consequential to state..."FRY HIS ASS" sitting behind a computer screen or in your Lazy Boy watching the daily news...

But, when the rubber meets the road...hmmmm? ohwell

Just sayin'...

Best reponse yet!. If DNA proves they did the murder, the execute them!

lynching seems like a more suitable execution

Now the debate should be what should be a killing offense some one doing somebody wrong in any situation or killing a man for sleeping with your wife

Really now? Are you sure about that concrete decision? *scratches head*

Hmmm...what if said "convicted" were your son/daughter...nephew/niece...best friend...an unknown youth who got caught-up in a situation/environment beyond what he thought was out of his control?

I don't know...I just tend to fall upon a theory of my own which is:

FIRST seek to understand...and then be understood. But, that's just me.

Again...how easy and non-consequential it can be to be an "armchair executioner", eh? *sighs*

Ive was always taught to take my punishment like a man I i tryed to teach my kids the same way If my kid done wrong enough to be killed then thats the path he took

In the state of Washington, there are two methods for execution. Lethal injection is used unless the person choses to hang.

Good teaching...good theory...somewhat agree...HOWEVER...

Until you have been put to the test to truly instill this lesson...are you willing to reserve your decision or others on this all important LIFE point.

Ask yourself this...if you are so willing to have others decide the life-fate of your offspring or a loved one for a faulty act...are you, in turn, willing to sell tickets for others to partake in his/her ultimate demise?

What I find so discerning...and often times amusing...is when folks are so NOT willing to say..."I just don't know" on this point when it concerns another's true LIFE that never touched their own. YET...they are more than willing to duct-tape, flog, slay, and burn at the stake someone who "simply" cheated on them..or worse yet, someone who states they were cheated on in an internet forum. ohwell

*rings the bell*....bring out ALL witches...*flicks lighter* laugh

The risk of death didnt stop my action at the time hey fun is fun But i do believe that if i was to be killed for it Then i deserved it
