Topic: the land belongs to the natives

this land you live on, this country you live was never yours or mine, we are children of immigrants and will always be. much of the land was stolden from the natives and yet to be paid for. we come from a generation of thieves, most of us.

You are absolutely right and because the natives here were not as savage as the occupyers, they were nearly obliterated and placed in their designated areas.

im sure you didn't mean it this way, but the sins of the father are not the sins of the sons no, its just a friendly reminder for those who think that this land was given to them by god, with his signature on it.

O-k, I will agree that the United States was colonized by...European, African's, Asian, South American people. So let's look at this logically for a moment. People move, migrate, colonize...always have always will. How many hundred or thousand years back do you go when talking about paying for it? I have Swedish relatives. Is it o-k for me to return to Sweden, demand land and ask the Danes who once conquered the region to pay me reparations? You know that whole to the victor go the spoils thing? Any ideas about that?

Give us a break....The Indian nations were unorganized and basically uneducated about the world..They failed to protect thier own lands from takeover by other countries...Is that our fault now...While I am sad about thier loss,what are we supposed to do now? this discussion has been beat to death to many times no land anywhere has been obtained with honor in the beginning anywhere there is a govt there is stolen land and anywhere they is no govt lnad is taken by the most powerful so irregardless it is what it is survival of the toughest and sometimes the meanest get over the native argument it was wrong but it was not me just like slavery was wrong but i never owned a slave live in the present and plan for the future dwelling on the past just promotes bigotry

Hitler wasn't the victor. Well, he won for awhile didn't he? He got the spoils too when he invaded Poland virtually unopposed. But we all know, or should know, what happened next. The United States got into bed with a leader as bad as Hitler named Stalin. Ever heard of him? When the victors (the Allies) were done carving up the spoils we were left with a new mess that affects our lives now.
