Does age matter? If so how old is too old. How young is too young?

Dating wise age does matter to me to a point..I won't date anyone
younger than 26 or older than 55....it would be like dating my nephew,
son and my dad..ewwwwwwwww yuckkk gross

well age is not a big factor but it is because i don't want someone over
45 because that is too old to me because I think it to be strange to
date some one older then my parents and too young would have to be 20
because I like older guys but some at that age are a little muture

i'm almost 35 and ihave dated men as old as 49 and as young as 27 it all
depends on their maturity level but wld not date anyone younger than 25

My rule is they can not be old enough to be my grandfather or Father for
that matter and they have to be of legal drinking age both here and in
the states.

Ummm if your older than 35 then nope... friends yes but anything else
no. Unless your like brad pitt

The difference in age I see is what you have in common.Also since I have
an 18 year old daughter, I catch myself checking out some pretty lady,
then realizing "S%#t I'm old enough to be here father"

I have a sort of vague idea as to what age range would generally be
suitable for me, but it's flexible because sometimes people don't
categorize that easily! I have met a few who fell outside the
"parameters" but who were inherently datable for other reasons.

Preferences are always going to be there, and I recognize and
acknowledge that. At the same time, I like to think I'm open-mided
enough to reexamine my preferences in those situations where it seems
warranted.

To raise a parallel: I never really thought much about being involved
with a girl who was taller than myself. (It seems everyone I've ever
been involved with is either 5'0" or 5'8" -- how does that happen?)
But, some years back, I did meet a girl who was three inches taller than
me, and we had a very nice (albeit short-term) relationship. I never
saw her height as an obstacle, it was just part of who she was.

Honestly, I like to say that age doesn't matter, being mature matters! I
have dated someone that was 13 years younger then I was, in fact we had
a great relationship and then I broke it off with him and told him to
find someone his own age to start a family with. I thought it was only
fair because I couldn't give him a family that he wanted.
I have also dated someone that was 8 years older then I was. We also had
a very good relationship but I did find that he was very boring for me!!
I do have some limits on age but not like most people!!

My dad was 20 years older than my mom and they lived happily ever after.
I don't think it would work if the woman is that much older than the
man.

You know, its always ok if the man is older...why is that?
My father also married a woman that was 19 years younger and everyone
seemed alright with that except for us of course! You let a woman marry
a man that is 19 years younger and she is robbing the cradle~~what a
shame!!

no it dont...ive dated older women all mah life...they have never seen
before nor past mah age...for many say it is nothin but a number...and
all dem women will tell you...for they lived to love much older...but
forever is within the young...

I've always liked younger guys. My husband was older he was my moms age
& there always seemed to be that gap. I don't act my age so younger guys
are more fun to me.

I think age is more that a number because my daugthers father was 10 yrs
older and he acked like he was 10 yrs younger than me and now i have
awonderful daugther that i am bringing up alone. so i wont date anybody
younger than me and they cant be any more than 6 years older

dont think age is so important...now maturity...thats HOT!!

Age is just a number. My WASbund was 2yrs older. We were married a
lonnnnnnnnng time. My ex is 13yrs YOUNGER and we had a LTR until I began
to feel like I was always removing his training wheels. Although the
relationship ended the biggest gift ever was the birth of my child. Your
choice to date younger men or older...hell its all good!!

Like I always say, diapers on either end of the scale is a problem.

I think age should not matter but society is responsible for making the
age gap uncomfortable for a couple.
example: young woman dates much older man she is considered a gold
digger
