It would be nice to see Bush and Cheney swear oath and sit in front of the Supreme Court to answer critical questions that the PEOPLE would like to know.

That way things could get clarified and the people will understand what truly happened to why many of our laws have been changed and why the presidential cabinett had done the things they did at the time.

If we will ever experience such a day. Something tells me it won't happen, but if Congress or better yet the PEOPLE could vote on it then it should be done.

If there is justice this day will come .
It all depends on the new president , the congress and the senate .
However we all know it will never come .

No brainer?...I hope you are kidding. I have served in the U.S. military.

Traitor?!?!?!?! For not seeing things your way?

Okay......colour me traitor....Don't want to see more blood spilled....I got a problem with it.

Some folks don't...That is exactly what I love about this country.....

People can just be who they are....I can honor that part of what our constitution was meant to be. This is America.....we all have the right to be offended.

Oh come on Dude...I think yer terrific... I think between your sense of humor you have good things to say.

It's some others that I wonder about....

It will come when we get justice for all the clinton injustices that were done in this nation starting with the trail of dead bodies they left behind them.

Krupa.... This is exactly what I mean about people going too far with their partisan irrational hatreds. If we have to put up with the counter culture drag on society then they should stop pushing the envelop...unless they want it met out to them. I doubt they want that since all they talk about is their free speech rights the patriot act & everything else that Bush uses to KEEP US SAFE!!!

HA HA HA "THAT BUSH USES TO KEEP US SAFE"

Talk about buying the hype...Quikstepper you are a perfect sheep aren't you? Afraid of the wolf at the door. So afraid you blindly beleive what you are told, loudly bah about it to your fellow sheep and go obediently off to the slaughter.

I really hate to personalize posts but reading your last first thing this morning made me laugh and want to throw up all at once.

So you are telling me that Bush is keeping us safer monitoring the books citizens buy and check out of the library while ignoring the hundreds of thousands of cargo brought into this country daily?

haha Bush is keeping us safer by infiltrating citizens political and social clubs? By restricting protesters to fenced "free speech zones", by ignoring the inquires of congress, by suspending the writ of habeas corpus indefinitely, by reducing the number of actual police on the streets in U.S. cities, by tying up the National Guard overseas....the list goes on

The war on terror might never end you know.

Then the terrorists have won...hell's bells I think they already have.

A posting clue for Quikstepper.

When you type your replies do you sometimes see a red line appearing under a word? That indicates you have misspelled the word.

Perhaps you are too muddled and excited when you post to notice this helpful prompt. Don't worry, we all make mistakes in spelling, grammar and usage. Relax, take a deep breath and take advantage of the nifty tools available to you on these forums and on the internet.

Our government has never lived up to the words written in the Constitutionfrustrated frustrated frustrated And its not just Bush...although he is an idiot...its all of them...crooked SOB's

THANK YOUUUUU!!!!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I agree wholeheartedly with you there. It's what I'm trying to stress as well.

It's not that I am defending Bush as much as trying to get people see that it's both sides of the isle that are corrupt. Some just blame Bush for all our ills. That's annoying.

Quikstepper I suggest you make an attempt to get informed yourself.

Please consider starting with the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Google it but don't read opinion pieces by your favorite propaganda mongers...read the text of the act itself. I'd suggest the Library of Congress site. It makes searches easy and full texts are available.

Do what many congressmen and women didn't do and read the text of The Patriot Act as well.

For those of you who do or have read that legislation and are depressed by it read BOUMEDIENE v. BUSH where the SCOTUS slapped George the Second on the hand and said detainees have the right to due process!

There is still hope! We have a chance to act in accordance with the rule of law, to behave in a manner that embraces the high ideals that our founders ascribed to and to perhaps regain some respect on the international front.

If you aren't a traitor you have nothing to worry about eh?

Humm well, if you arrested, jailed and not allowed to know who has accused you, what the evidence against you is or what the charge is I would say you have a whole lot to worry about.

If you aren't alarmed and deeply concerned about the state of our union you are not paying attention.

Do you belong to any political, environmental or union organizations? Do you post on forums or visit websites? Have you ever protested current U.S. policies? Have you used words like bomb, terror, Bush or expressed violent frustration about this administration while using the phone? Guess what? Your phone calls and emails can and likely have been monitored? Is that o-k? What happen to the presumption of innocence?

Geo. Bush is in my view a traitor. He took an oath of office swearing to support and defend the Constitution. Since that time he and the current administration have used legal and illegal dodges to avoid any investigations that congress has attempted to pursue.

Can I prove he is a traitor? No...but the evidence, even the small bit that is available to the general public, is compelling.

/waves at the NSA Thank-you for your interest.

Bush utilized 9/11 to his full advantage for personal gain and whatever else he has on his sick agenda. The sad thing is Americans were so shocked and grieving over 9/11 they were not capable of realizing what he was doing. Recently some have woke up from their brainwashing but there are still quite a few who have not woken up yet.

This is a tremendous threat. It is what our Forefathers left behind when they came here to create a free society. People should be very VERY concerned.

The problem is in this situation, WHO SAYS WHO IS A THREAT TO THIS COUNTRY? Do I get to pick, do you? Would you want me to pick? Because once you get NAMED a threat, all your rights are gone so it is too late then to be "concerned".

The biggest threats to our country currently sit in the white house by my and many others standards but we cannot lock them up with no rights, right? But they could do it to you.

Humm perhaps we should add this to the list: The Federalist Papers
http://www.foundingfathers.info/federalistpapers/

From the site: "Welcome to our Federalist Papers e-text. The Federalist Papers were written and published during the years 1787 and 1788 in several New York State newspapers to persuade New York voters to ratify the proposed constitution."

If you read the Federalist Papers you will perhaps have a somewhat better appreciation for the process and for the value of research, discussion and debate. You may also come to the realization that citizenship is a privileged and a responsibility as I have. You may even realize, after a read, that questioning the government and your fellow citizen is what makes this country great.

I have been studying this issue for awhile.

The problem boils down to the NeoCons and Christian Coalition.
Don't get me wrong, I am a Christian.

I read two books, "Conservative Without Conscience" by John Dean (a Nixon white house conservative) and "Stealing Jesus".

It is mixing Politics (man's affair) with Religion (unCompromising God's truth). This is the main cause for Gridlock in congress.

Just because you are against Gay rights and for Pro-Life, this doesn't make you a Christian or get you to heaven. The Political machines use these issues as their badge of self-righteous Christians to promote their Authoritian style of gov't. Authoritian as in the direction flow of information. We use to have more info on the gov't happenings than the gov't have on us. Now since Bush and 9-11, it is the other way around... Gov't knows more about us than we know about Gov't and their secrets for national security.

The NeoCons use the same tactics as the TV evangelists. Bring up an issue, Inject FEAR,introduce a Solution, Get you to PAY them MONTHLY. It is down to a science... Stop the Gays or Stop killing Babies. who would go against that.

Only a Christian can tell the difference, but has to keep his mouth shut, because you are not suppose to JUDGE. I say Bullpoopy... A non-Christian cannot tell the difference, to them it is all Christians. Just like how we think ALL Muslim are Terrorists.

There are 2 types of christians (according to "Stealing Jesus")... Legalist and the non-Legalist. The Legalists are the ones who can't sit next to you if you don't believe the same thing as they do. The Non-Legalist are christian by heart... they will share bread with a sinner, prostitute, and tax-collector. They will ask questions that will test their faith. The Legalist will accept the faith and nothing will disprove them from their blind strong faith. Thus, these are the Authoritians... whoever is the Leader... whatever the issue, they will follow with little evidence and require mountian full of contridictions evidence to disprove them... Like yellow cake.

It doesn't really matter if it is the Dems or NeoCons.. at the end they both are men and corruptable.

But the Key is to get the Religion Out of Politics.
Christianity doesn't belong in Gov't and dictated... it belongs in the privacy of your home.
