How about get both full DVD collections and have a weekend Marathon!! I'll make the popcorn!! The humor of both is priceless. The Simpsons are officially the longest running TV show in American history (tied with Gunsmoke this year I believe), and have a library of side splitters like no ones business. My favorite is when Homer goes to Krusty's Clown College. Family Guy, shoot you can come in halfway through an episode and still laugh the rest of the way. The sidebars (Such as when Peter says "Like the time I was ____") fantastic. The pure irreverance of the show makes me just laugh. Yeah, a marathon, leave your sides hurting for a month!! A marathon of both shows, that would take longer than a weekend!!! Both are good. I like the little plugs at other shows and popular culture in Family Guy. Futurama did it better, but there are no new episodes of that. Sometimes, the "asides" in family guy are what make the episode. Family guy also makes fun of itself as a t.v. show. Simpsons doesn't as much. I'll watch all three and be happy!

Futurama, King of the Hill, Tripping the Rift...all better than South Park. imho

OMG this is the hardest question ever!! The simpsons are a classic I will always love the simpsons but Family guy is so f*cked up and dysfunctional that it's addicting... I CANT CHOOSE!!

Anyway, I'll go with the Simpsons. In it's prime, it was miles ahead of the best Family Guy episode. It has definitely dropped off a bit, but you can still see flashes of brilliance. I also can't bring myself to vote for the show which borrowed so heavily from the original. p.s., Futurama is a great show which never got its due. That said, aren't they bringing it back? Good fun!
