can being too attractive be a curse................and does that complicate your life sometimes?
Ive noticed in people that are good looking that they have to try that much harder to be accepted. The overweight person seems to be more accepted than the barbie doll.....noway

This comment is SO NOT TRUE! The society "men" WANT BARBIE DOLLS, plain and simple.. we as "healthy" women have to try HARDER to even get them to look at us, not to mention even TALK to us. Just because we may be overweight does not make us unattractive..grumble

When im talking about attractive I mean how you view yourself............yes there is a category of what is attractive but im not talking about the super models.............im talking about everyday women who work hard and just live life but they still know that they are attractive regardless of the size.............i have friends who are what society would consider heavy but they think that they are the most attractive thing in the world............and they are..................so this isnt about bashing a certain category of women, its about everyone who considers themselves beautiful and attractive..........

Yes it is life. And if I knew you back in highschool, with your point of view, I WOULD HAVE KICKED YOUR ASS. I am not a "pretty people" i am a "remarkable person". Sorry you had your ass kicked in highschool but I am sure you did not go to Glen Burnie Senior High..if you had... I WOULD HAVE KICKED YOUR ASS for being wimpy.

ohwell I went to four different highschools and Ihad zero chance to cultivate any social interaction. I graduated early and spent graduation day working part time.
I am willing to bet that you spent yout graduation celebrating.

long ago and far away, i worked with sun-coast chippendales and international male, when i was young and beautiful, and none of us were cursed with any infliction of datelessness at any time, and yes, i'm very comfortable with being ugly as hell now, and i don't worry about anything. i just don't date, or look.
Ummmmmmmmmm did you ever come to canada??? I may have a pic of you with me......with my long big hair!!! 1987????noway laugh laugh laugh

one of my exes told me i was to attractive, and thats why he got so jealous and possesive over me. if i guy would look at me when we went out he would go mad, and he refused to se me dressed up and going out with my friends he was so jealous. so yes being attractive can cause problems, mainly jealously.

Wow....This is interesting. My first wife was a knockout as far as looks are concerned. I married her at 18, divorced at 20 and she is now on husband #6. She has never had a job and moves on periodically when she finds a guy who will give her more than the one she is with.
People who rely on their looks alone- I pity them. I also feel for those who are so angry at anyone they consider to be more attractive than they are.
I like to look at pretty women, I'll admit but if she's all into herself and can't hold up her end, there's nothing there. I have found that a woman who may not be the physical ideal but is smart, witty, self-confident, etc. is my preference. I'll look at the Barbies, sure, but I want a real woman at home with me.

I think it's easier to be angry and bitter than it is to take an honest look at yourself and ask "what can I do to attract the kind of person I want to be with"? BTW thanks Tanz!

I have a question...Tanz...do you see yourself as attractive and think that your beauty is a curse???

Because beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Someone may look at you and think oh my god shes an angel someone else might raise an eyebrow and say not so much....

Your right its in the eye of the beholder..................i view myself as all women should as attractive because im confident, intelligent, and independent (just a little of what I think that I am) with that said I dont think it pertains so that others how they view me but what I think of myself................I do think that people sometimes dont take attractive people seriously and they think that they use their looks to get what they want then that to me is a stereotype and then that could be considered a curse.............flowerforyou flowerforyou
