Don't know what happened with them, they have gotten into a totally pissing fight. I'm cleaning EVERYTHING now. This is a royal pain!

Males, hence the pissing match. If they aren't fixed they will do that.. "mark their territory" I have 2 males and they are just fine..but they are fixed.

I have a kitten....that just can't get it through her head that I don't have to hold her all the time....don't get me wrong I love my cats...but it gets to be a pain after awhile...

Actually, that is no guarantee on that. They are fixed. I should add, it doesn't mean they won't figure out how to spray. The one is properly spraying, the other is peeing in the same area. I'm trying to get everything organized enough to break out the carpet cleaning tonight.

Moondark are the urinating everywhere or are they just fighting with each other. The Buck (tomcat/male) will squirt urine everywhere to mark their territory. This smell is very foul compared to the female cat. If they are fighting, have you had them neutered (snipped)?

They are fixed. But they never established a pecking order. Every so often they get into a fight. One other time the fight set them off spraying and peeing all over the house. The night before I got them an appointment with the vet and got them fixed. That was a few years ago.

All the time. Moondark, sorry to say,get used to the fighting and mood swings. Cats are nocturnal, they need to get out at night (whether they are fixed or not)!! Its their natural instinct. Think of it like this, how would you like to be couped up all day looking at the same faces. Tensions can rise. I know you love your cats and I understand the situation you are in. Apartment Block. Yes? You can actually walk a cat much like a dog. There is a process. You must get collars on them. Then get the leash and start walking around the house with them and when they are used to that, head outside with them on the leash preferably at night but daytime will suffice if your area is dangerous at night. They will thank you for it!! Best wishes!! Edit/ They are males. Yes? The problem with the urinating is they are trying to mark out the others territory but this normall quits after been fixed but it may take up to a year after. They will still go through the motion but wont let out any urine and if they do occasionaly, that foul smell should not be present. I think they are frustrated Moondark. Hope this helps.

Both of my cats wear collars. One will actually go out on a leash. He doesn't walk much, though. It's more like walking a little.. rolling around on the ground.. playing with sticks.. repeat. The other won't go out at all.

My cat is 5 yrs old and she is still like that...If I lie down she thinks she has to lie on me! If I sit anywhere she's in my lap. She thinks she's my baby ,if I don't pet her she will meow and lean her head on my hand over & over. Break her now if you can.
