I'd be sure to have my significant other to have me put on every conceivable life support system known. After all the money I've paid into health insurance, I'm going to get my money back and then some from those you know what's!

That's what a living will is for. No need to put the decision on a loved one.

That would be sooooo hard to do to someone you loved! You'd always think "what if there was a chance?"

I personally couldnt live with that.
And therin lies the dilemma......what if?

Exactly.. people have been known to awake from a coma after MANY years! Tough call.. I hope I never have to be faced with a decision like that in my lifetime!

I am skeptical of doctors prognosis. I had to deal with this very thing recently

Hard decision. I had to make the call alone:cry: I chose to let nature take its course on its own without my intervention. I did this after agonizing over every detail. There were very good reasons I made my decision. Personal ones. Unselfish ones. So, don't judge me. I just don't care to share my reasons here.

Pull the plug and at my death donate any and all useable organs to those in need. I have a do not recessitate order in my living will as well as a no ventilators clause. I DO NOT want to be kept alive by machineary. As far as not trusting a doctor's prognosis neither do I. I have been pronounced dead 2x, and been sent back. So I do trust God. When it really is my time to go He will take me and not one second before.....

A lot easier said than done. You tell someone you are a widow and they do one of two things: say they are sorry (and they aren't) or then have to tell you how lucky you are that you don't have and Ex like blah blah blah for two hours then tell you they don't want to live with a ghoast all the time.
