They blew you off? Or told you that they were going with friends? If they had said they were going with friends...so be it, I'd make my own plans or just choose to stay in.. And as far as them calling me later.. if drunk? lol just means they had a good time, I'd tell them to be safe getting home and I'd talk to them tomorrow.

...No!
You were JUST getting to know them!

Let's say it was the first time you would have ever spoken on the phone to someone and they text you asking if they could get back to you after the game...

What would you think then?

Well, I see it like this

If your just starting to get to know each other and no plans were made for that day, and if he is watching the game and says, "I will get back to you after the game"...Whats the big deal? Should he drop everything right then?

Not as long as you would be ok receiving the same treatment.

So, are you saying a sheduled time slot needs to be made for a phone call...?

I mean, we are all busy with our lives right?
Kids, pedicures, doctors appointments, friends, games ect...

I just find it humorous

No, calls should not be scheduled, but in the same aspect dont HAVE to be taken either. If I am in the middle of watching a game, got a few beers in me, having a good time with my friends, and we dont have anything planned?

Then why are you calling? Or why would you expect a call?

And what treatment do you speak of? If a woman I am dating is out with her friends having fun and has no plans with me,...I am leaving her alone. She will call when she wants to

I personally think...

A man should have time with his friends and the "game". As long as it isnt every day and as long as they come home to me. Be thankful he called you and not some other woman!!!

but... thats just me

I agree.
Everyone should have their own time with friends.
The courteous phone call is admirable tooflowerforyou

...What if the "relationship" was new and this happened?
He obviously contacted you because he was interested...but then, when you make the attempt to call, he blows you off cause of some sport?!?

your saying he blew you off... maybe he had this already planned with his friends??????

Exactly.. "blew you off" to me, means that he told you he would call at a certain time frame and didn't or was supposed to meet you, and didn't show up.. THAT would be considered blowing me off in my book... but your post doesnt make it sound that way?? Your post to me reads: you called him, he was at a game w/friends and asked to get back with you later, he later called back and had been drinking.. which is normal at a game. lol

True.
I'm betting he had it planned.
I guess it's acceptable for some.

I would no longer be interested in someone that was willing to put me aside for a game or sporting event...Not when you are trying to make a connection with someone. That’s rude. ohwell
If I were involved- that's a different story. drinker

The way I see it...
You're "X" years of age and single!
Don't wonder why. noway
Clearly you have passed up the opportunity to get to know someone for "the game."

I just hope the game can love you, as much as you love it.

Enjoy your events Guys! drinker
