Topic: To Rat or not to Rat...

...that is the question... If you were talking to a friend's husband on messenger...and all of a sudden the message turned odd..cyber sexual in nature and obviously not a message meant for you..what would you do? Would you tell your friend what her husband was up to? This actually happend to me once. And I was dead silent...then all of a sudden after a long pause he messaged again and said, "OooooooPS!, PLEASsssssssse dont' tell " I didn't know what to say, but managed, "HA! , Ok...but I got you by the balls and you better not let me hear of anything like this again!" Well, I think I did the right thing. Because that was 10 yrs ago and they are still together raised their kids and he has thanked me time and time again for not being a rat. We are very good friends.

I would simply ask her "why is your husband hitting on me?". It wasn't ME he was hitting on...the message was not for me...I just got the wrong message.

I figured if I told, it would put me in the position of possibly causing a break-up. I know you say HE would have been the cause, but...I didn't want to be involved and was only involved by accident...if I had of told, I would have actively involved myself. Which wasn't my place. And as it turned out...they are still together and obviously no harm was done.
