Thanks to the OP for this topic -- it's been comforting to read that there are others who share the same thoughts and feelings about what it takes to make love work. It can be disheartening to hear the same excuses over and over and over, but the comments of the posters here have restored my faith just a little ... so to all of you - and to finding love, despite the obstacles! Hear, hear.....and I was serious about that "blueprint" thing I mentioned. If anyone has one, send it my way! I WILL share... |

Very nice...red is your color! That's not a challenge to show you my footies pj pic, is it?!?! Cause I'll be honest, some people just can't handle it!

Actually look better in blue or green. Go for the PJs. If someone has a problem with it...it is their problem.e
Ya' know some folks on here will make...hmmm inappropriate comments about them. Not everyone here seems to have made it out of Jr. High. |

True enough, Red, but I'll save the pajama pics for the right "time" and place. It sure wouldn't be here!
Besides, if a man loves me in my footie pj's...he's a keeper. |

You are right, Lemondrop. While helping a friend of mine decorate his new house, I was amazed at how specific and unwavering he was about every little detail. Despite his claims of wanting to get married soon, he was building a very custom life...for one. (It's quite the bachelor pad!!) I asked what would happen if he finds someone to love. How would she fit in to his perfectly ordered world? His answer....she'll have to get rid of all her stuff! He'll be the next guy starting a 'where are all the good women gone' thread *sad chuckle* ... so that is where those threads start!!! i gotcha |

Well, that's one theory....but she has a point!!

i think that for alot of people they have been hurt too many times to put THAT much faith into someone....do i believe that we are past unconditional love?? no, just that it is as hard to find as it always has been

That's the rub.... |

That's the rub.... yeah......investing time is a must....and i am sure that there are people that do not feel that it is THAT important...but i still believe that it can happen |

I believe that it is important AND that it can happen...and that it often does!
That gives me hope and helps me "keep the faith!" |

Hmmm...this is a subject that caught my attention.
I have " turned my world upside down " for someone. It didn't work out, I had to come back to where I started...and I have finally managed to get my sh*t back in order. I honestly don't think I could do that again. Mainly because I have finally gotten myself into a job that I truly enjoy at work and have gotten some time in so if I want to change jobs again, I have a pretty good shot of doing so. I am 38 years old, and starting over again at a new place of work just doesn't appeal to me. |
