I've only put myself "back on the market" this past year, but am wondering if ~ in this hectic, busy world ~ we still have time for love. Sure, we all say we want it, value it, would do anything for it; but time and time again I see, hear, and experience so many barriers and inflexible attitudes that love doesn't stand a chance.

Have we reached a point of being so set in our ways, so used to the little life we've created for ourselves, so inflexible, that we can't let love in the door when it comes knockin'? Do we really have time for love?

Could you ~ and would you ~ really turn your world upside down for love? I'd like to think I would, but finding someone who is willing to do that too is the hard part!

So, does anyone have a blueprint they're willing to share? What would you do to make room in your life, and time for, love?

I have actually turned my whole world upside down not once but a couple of times...There are no tried and true answers for this question. I guess it just depends on the 2 ppl involved and what they really want/need and work towards.

I can pencil love in at noon.......or after 11 pm.......lotta love there!! or on my days off when other people work!!!

But yes Im willing but not sure if anyone can handle my hours.....

I have to agree with you it seems all that people want is for someone to do things on their terms and only when they have time.....it's like they don't want to make time that you have to make time for them when they want you to....it is like people has lost thier feelings for others...it has turned into a me me me world..

Don't have any blueprint.

But for the right person I would turn my world upside down. Move if necessary. Life is to short not to spend time with the person that your really love and care about and them you.

Use to facilitate grief groups. Never heard stories of "glad they worked so much." Heard lots of stories of special times spent together. That is what is important...time together.

For the right person I can make time. But I expect the same in return. I don't think that's too much to ask......

But, at the end of the day, I don't want to be snuggling up against my Blackberry and cell phone. That has a pretty sad "ring" to it, don't ya think?!?!

You are right, Lemondrop. While helping a friend of mine decorate his new house, I was amazed at how specific and unwavering he was about every little detail. Despite his claims of wanting to get married soon, he was building a very custom life...for one. (It's quite the bachelor pad!!)

I asked what would happen if he finds someone to love. How would she fit in to his perfectly ordered world? His answer....she'll have to get rid of all her stuff!

I agree... but in this "me, me, me" society do people really have those priorities set? Do we know what's important any more?

I find there are alot of people on here with their "my way or the highway" attitude. Especially with the distance thing......
