maybe it's the new pain meds. I'd call your DR. they must have an answering service.

does she cry when you are holding her too? do you have a sling? is she nursing? when my babies were little, nursing took care of anything that was wrong!

Its very easy, pick her up, start talking to her, and take her for a walk. Just in the yard will work. Talk to her and point at the stars. Show her the trees and listen for birds. Tell her why the dogs are barking.

I heard the indians would take the small baby and put them in a tree. Their cries would go unanswered. They never had a problem with crying babies.

They might not be working right, if she is crying...and nothing is stopping it, she is hurting somewhere or something is wrong..the pain med's might even be causing her stomach pains. But if nothing is stopping the crying, holding, nursing, rocking...she's trying to tell you something is wrong.

and if nothing is working, you should call the doctor because there is obviously something wrong. babies don't cry for no reason.

I went nuts when mine was little like that with all the crying. I went through EVERYTHING, feed, burp, change, rock, blah, blah, blah. A nurse told me that babies cry to exercise their lungs. Unless you think she's ill and if you've gone through the routines, let her cry and YOU go hide for a few minutes, check on her and then GO HIDE AGAIN!! Just keep an eye on her every few minutes.
Does the hospital you had her at have what's called a "warm line", (as opposed to a hot line)? Call the hospital maternity ward and see if they do as they can help calm you down and give you good advice.
Best wishes!!
