I am sure every religion teaches something about "Kindness" in their scriptures. I feel many don't actually practice it enough. I am even sure those who don't follow religion know the meaning of "kindness" yet also do not practice it enough. Try this for a change if you haven't already! Wake up and be kind to everyone regardless of what the outcome is. Do this until you go to bed that day. If you have done this please share your experience here on this thread.

It is all about kindness. Many have difficulty in today's society to just be kind to each other. People fight for parking spots, cut in lines at a grocery store, scream at work, say things they don't mean to someone, threaten, or even use violence. I know there are many more reasons why people are like this, yet let us try to create a family here on this site and start by complimenting each other.

It doesn't matter if you don't know the person, just say a kind gesture or compliment to make that person feel better. Come on you can do it!

yes I see it everyday! If you go to the beach and just watch the ocean and the skies! So peaceful and no hectic. I experience it everyday!

Ok I try everyday to be kind even when I have people yelling at the top of their lungs at me.

But I am telling you today was not the day and tomorrow does not look good either.

But you are right I do not live near an ocean but you know what brings me peace the look in my amazing 9 year old daughters eyes..........that is all I ever need to calm me down.

A child's eyes is peace! I think it is great to have peace in the mind and heart. It leads to kindness on so many levels. I hope your days ahead will find better fortunes.

I think my town has a lot of kind people. If you have some juicy gossip for them they will do anything for you to get it. LOL

No, really Springfield Colorado is like Maybery. Everybody in town knows your name and what ever gossip they heard about you. But over all I think there are a lot of very kind people here.

Kindness is a wonderful tool. Just tonight it helped me with an angry alzheimer resident. She was throwing a fit because she wanted to get up for breakfast and it was 9 o'clock at night. She commanded me to get her pants and dress her. When I first started working where I do if an angry resident got angry with me I wanted to get angry right back with them. It was like they had some evil demon in them and that demon went right into me. I even thought since because of my religious upbringing that I should try to exorcise their demon. I thought dementia was some how related to demon possesion. Now I just try to be kind to them no matter kind of mood they are in. It works pretty good most of the time. I figure I have the choice in how I react to people no matter how they act towards me. It worked tonight because being kind to the angry resident after she threw her temper trantrum she apologized on her own accord and was just as sweet as pie as if nothing had happened. I just love working with alzheimer residents. They have been such a good tool in letting me progress in my own anger management. Thanks to my spiritual program I have learned if my day starts out bad that I have the choice to restart it. I don't have to buy into guilt or anger; I can just be kind towards others and it is good karma. Kind of like the scripture, "You reap what you sow."
