Elsa...

One thing I have to say...after reading most of the replies...

I would ONLY want to loose weight to make it easier for me. I've decided NOT to loose weight to look better for HIM. If he doesn't like what he's looking at he could always leave. Take me the way that I am...or don't. In the long run...it will be HIS loss.

Brings to mind an old saying used by women that used to be around;

"Never date a man with a butt smaller than your own."

It's funny I've never heard that. But in the long run...why would I want to do THIS for him, when I should want to do it for myself....true?

My grandmother use to tell me that noone can love you until you love yourself first. I think that applies here!

Very true. Each and everyone of us has our own tastes when it comes to preferences in body shapes. The most important thing is that one is comfortable with being who they are.

Yeah, I agree.

I'm doing it for myself. I told my boyfriend I wanted to lose weight and he said I was perfect and I shouldn't, but he respects that I want to exercise and take better care of myself.

I have a big butt because I'm Puerto Rican. My boy has almost no butt, but he adores my butt, so yay!

I'd like to lose about 10 pounds that I put on over the winter and haven't managed to shake during the summer this year. Last year I had a huge yard to take care and that helped. This year I live in apartments where the lawn is taken care of. I still walk but I need to do more and learn to say NO! to chocolate!! noway

If not how much do you want to lose/ gain?

Why aren't you comfortable with it?

I personally want to lose 15 pounds (I've already lost 5! yay!) because I think I'll look better.

I need to gain some weight, which will happen as soon as I start to work out again...which will happen when....

No I am not comfortable with my weight. I weigh 140 now and I would like to lose at least 40 of it.

I need to gain about 15-20 pounds. Due to my rapid metabolism, this is a near impossibility.grumble

I have heard from the medical community that it is people who are overweight that have rapid (faster) metabolisms. According to doctors, people who are overweight, their metabolisms have to run faster because of the additional weight. Hence, the greater risk of coronary, other organ failure, etc.

i dont really ever check my weight... just make sure I "FEEL" like I'm in shape. If I feel good about that, I'm not too concerned about weight
