Why do weeds grow faster than plants/flowers? I may be wrong about this but I've grown flowers from seeds before and I don't remember observing a seed grow into a two-inch tall flower in a few weeks.

Because we have to nurture that which becomes beautiful!

Weeds abound...some might seem pretty on observation, but they will really overtake all that is truly lovely.

Oh I love sunflowers! I planted one in elementary school and it grew like 6 or 7 feet. I tried planting one this summer but I think the soil was crappy because it never even poked through the surface! I want to plant another one but I don't know if the weather would really allow or not

Because we've inbred and hybridized everything to death.

Like the mustang pony, or the reason mutts are usually smarter.

I've switched to wild flowers & plants native to this area or areas with a similar clime. It helped some, but the neighbors probably think some of my posies ARE weedslaugh !
