“Just Wondering”

I feel as if I’m not here nor there.
Life at times seems so unfair.
At times I think I know what I’m looking for.
But those things never seem to be in store.

At times I seem to have chased away my fears.
But then again I’m left in tears.
Sometimes I feel as if I have found the one.
But then it seems that is not done.

Am I asking for too much?
Just to have someone to hold and touch.
To have their lips touch mine in a kiss.
The kind that when they are gone you miss.

I’m not even sure at times.
Why I sit to make these words that rhymes.
Do I do it just to pass the day?
Until something better comes my way.

You know it always seem.
I tell others to never give up on their dream.
But at times I wonder what mine really are.
Am I just shooting for a star?

That is too far away and not for me.
That is it something I will never touch much less to see.
Do I think another will fix it all?
Just to hear my name they call.

I don’t think that is true.
At times I just don’t have a clue.
It’s as if my life is hanging in midair.
At times I wonder if I’m even aware.

Of what it is I really want in life.
No matter what there will always be strife.
But does it ever come to a time and place.
And we actually beat the rat race.

As I sit here and wonder.
And let my mind ponder.
Is this the way it will always be.
Or one day will I be actually able to see?

Awwww thank you all for reading but ya know at one time or other we all sit down and wonder. As we ponder the thoughts though our heads what is it in life that will really make us content with our lives. Sometimes I seem to think I have those answers then something happens and I wonder if I really even know.

Maybe we ask for too much at times or shoot too high and should actually be more happier with what we have before us instead.

I think you hit the nail on the head Kristi. If we could all be happy in the moment we are in instead of wishing for more...but human nature prevails to keep us striving for more.
