We used to take my kids all the time to Maine. What a great place to vacation.

I live on Gulf...depends where on the gulf...some places have nice waves...others its very calm and flat.

I lived in Tampa for 3 years..The gulf is great! The waves are not as fierce as the Atlantic side 
oh really .. I'll have to rethink that then. I mean a free beach house IS a FREE beachhouse.

Now I am really misty eyed............it is upsetting sitting here in the UK ( grey,cloudy morning) knowing that out there somewhere, (in Barbados) where my niece lives the sun is shining and they are probably preparing to go to one of the secluded beaches for a bar-b-que ..............That is not fair !!

awwwwwwwww I'm sorry .. didn't mean to make you sad girlfriend. I think I'm just waking up to the fact (after raising 5 kids) that it's time to make my longings reality .. even if only for short spurts of time. Make sense? |

To be left alone for one whole week, no telephone, no internet, no one knocking at my door, no driving of the car............in fact I would love to be on an island for a week just so I could write without being disturbed I love tropical islands for that very reason...they give you a sense of isolation...freedom from the real world...I have been to many and have not found one I didn't like!

Completely makes sense,I have raised two and just when I thought they were off my hands, round they come bringing with them bigger problems for me to solve. My son woke me up this morning ( 8am) with a text message, it said "Are you awake?".................. I was after hearing the constant beep of my mobile phone |
