I was born/raised in Los Angeles and the beach/ocean was my second home. I moved back east and also saw the ocean (more rugged coast) regularly.

Now I live in landlocked Colorado.

I miss the ocean terribly. tears

The haunting pics of lighthouses beconing light to the open sea ..
the sounds of waves crashing on the rocks ..
seagulls circling ..
taste of salty air ..

I MISS THE OCEAN tears tears tears tears

If I don't get there soon I think I shall die ..frustrated frustrated frustrated

ok not die .. but I WANNA hear, see, taste the depth of the ocean sooooooooon. drool tears tongue2

What do you hunger in the depth of your soul for and can't embrace from where you are in life right now?

The open plains of South America, tying a hammock among the trees on the beach in Barbados or Grenada and just drifting off to sleep with the sounds of the ocean lapping at the edge of the sand

Wouldn't that be cool to do?

Actually I plan on renting a beach house next summer so all my kids and I can go and just relax by the water. I have a friend who will let me use hers for free .. it sits on the gulf though and not sure if I would still miss the waves on rocks feel ..

Yes Maine has some awesome rugged coastline...and some really neat oldtime fishing villages that are right out of the 1800's. Great place to spend a long weekend!
