That for questions regarding race in America.... That American should be included on the list for those born and raised in the USA?


We are a huge melting pot and some people believe that AMERICAN, is to be a mix of races.


I have a friend who is white (Sorry Randy) and hates checking off white on the list. He checks other and puts "American".


What do you think?

I always put "Tan".

WTF? White is not American...Native American (or as I call them, do note this is a running joke between my friend and I as he is an injun) is American.

I think that we take too much time on the little things in life.......isnt it amazing that we have the choices that we do and can choose from that.........so for that I say do as you will as long as it doesnt affect and hurt someone go for it................

Funny thing is tribes use Indian to describe themselves more than Native American. What's the difference "America" is just as foreign a name as "Indian".

Well, America is probably the closest thing I have to an ethnic backgroud...so Ok by me.

Does it really matter on the race issue besides when it comes right down to it they need one that says Heinz 57.

For most of us consist of more then one race.

Bein that I'm French, German, English, and Iriqiuos Indian on my Mom's side and Irish on my Dad's, I really wish they'd put Mutt on those forms somewhere.
Besides I'm not white, I'm more an eggshell in the winter and a toasty brown in the summer.

Bikinian really raises some eyebrows.

I think checking yourself on who you are does not exclude you from being American. But it's the people's choice. I'm African American/Native American. Still has the word "American".

Correct, but Race brings issues about. I hate when I sit there with a girl and listen to her name every single race in the world she is mixed with. We have racism issues when really, America is the land of mutts. Most other countries have just that particular race. We are mixed, this is our home.

Some people like to socially gather because of race, when we are all mixed. So I wonder if we just used "American", it would be easier.

Do you ever ask yourself why there are race benefits for only those races? "Native Americans", yes who wants to argue that one? I won't. But everyone else born and raised here... Our homeland.

The american government bought out the bikini atoll, moved all its people inland, payed them reparations, let them assimilate, then popped off an atomic bomb on their country. 70 years later its still too hot to live on. Don't nuke your bikini.

I dislike filling out forms. Too many questions. Too many answers. Nationality? Bikinian. Religion? Morrisonism. Sex? Sometimes. Age? Starting to.

Under "Race" on forms I typically check "other" and write in

'wanna??'

Random your so right wonder if we all wore Rose Colored Glasses and everyone looked pink would this world be a better world. It is a shame that things or rights or jobs ect are giving due to color why not for who you are?

But then when you think about it the same issues happen with size.

To many times we are judged for what we look like or the color of ones skin instead of for the knowledge we retain.
