http://rendevouswithdestiny.blogspot.com/2008/05/gallup-poll-congress-approval-rating-at.html
congress approval rating at 18%. Wow thats less than bush.

How is the war the problem? Europe isn't at war and they pay $8 a gallon.

Do I remember Katrina/Rita. Yea I lived it buddy. From Lake Charles thank you.

I am not desperate. People always put a negative spin on republicans on this site and most of us just site here and take it. As soon as one of us puts one thing neg about dems some of you get all defensive.

I am sorry if my belief in a small government offends you. If I believe that people should be responsible for themselves and not expect the government to do everything for them. Sorry if I don't think people should expect the government to provide everything for them because they make some stupid mistakes.

Cry to GWB!
I didn't make you a Republican and I damn sure ain't responsible for you losing your sight!drinker

"I didn't make you a Republican and I damn sure ain't responsible for you losing your sight!drinker"

That means if you walk the walk and talk the talk of a die hard Republican then you should open your eyes and except the blame for your parties archaic attitudes and failed policies!

Quit shuffling the blame on your party's most recent scapegoat!

What Congress in power has had the record of pork spending? And, now has record increase in gas prices under their belt as well? And, what Congress has gotten absolutely little done and turned on their backs when it came down to the war spending bill with a lame duck presiding the executive branch?

Do believe that would be....my own party, the Democratic Party.

Desperation and lies!

Bush said: “The people’s trust in their Government is undermined by congressional earmarks — special interest projects that are often snuck in at the last minute, without discussion or debate.”

FACT — BUSH HAS ENGAGED IN HIS OWN EARMARKING: In 2007, Bush stuffed approximately 580 earmarks worth $15.6 billion into his appropriation request for military construction and veterans affairs. Bush’s earmarks included $24 million for the Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program and “$8.9 million for the Points of Light foundation, a pet project started by his father, former President George H.W. Bush.” [Washington Examiner, 11/15/07]

FACT — BUSH HAS REPEATEDLY SIGNED PORK-LADEN BILLS INTO LAW: According to the Congressional Research Service, there were 997 earmarks in the Fiscal 2000 defense appropriation bill. By the Fiscal 2005 law that Bush signed into law, there were 2506 earmarks, “more than two and half times the number contained the Fiscal 2000 bill.” In the bill funding the departments of Labor, Health and Human Services and Education, the number of earmarks grew from 291 in 2000 to 3,014 in 2005. [Lilly, 1/28/08]

FACT — EARMARKS EXPLODED UNDER THE GOP-CONTROLLED CONGRESS: When Republicans took over Congress in 1994, there were 4,000 earmarks on appropriations bills. At the end of the 109th Congress in 2005, there were 15,000. [Washington Post, 1/25/06; The Gavel, 1/28/08]

FACT — CURRENT 110TH CONGRESS HAS CUT EARMARKS IN HALF: “As promised when they took control of Congress,” in 2007, “House Democratic leaders cut in half from last year the value of earmarks in the bill, as they did in the other 11 agency spending measures.” [New York Times, 11/4/07]

Fact, Bush just cant make a law. It has to be passed by the other branches as well.

You claim I am passing blame when I already told you I don't blame them. A was merely giving certain people on this site a taste of their own medicine.

Also, just because I am a republican and believe in republican ideals does not mean I blindly support all my parties actions.

I am a supporter of less government involvement and more personal responsibility and that is the opposite of what the Democrats want so I don't vote for them.

That has nothing to do with out political views. What one man does or doesn't do does not define our or our parties ideals.

I agree,
My favorite part of that is,

FACT — EARMARKS EXPLODED UNDER THE GOP-CONTROLLED CONGRESS: When Republicans took over Congress in 1994, there were 4,000 earmarks on appropriations bills. At the end of the 109th Congress in 2005, there were 15,000. [Washington Post, 1/25/06; The Gavel, 1/28/08]

That is pretty condemning to the whole Republican Party, and in direct conflict with you saying, "I am a supporter of less government involvement and more personal responsibility and that is the opposite of what the Democrats want so I don't vote for them."

You should Vote for Obama!!

No, the man wants socialized healthcare. Thats the exact opposite of what I want. Thats more taxation for more government control.

You keep spitting out the same thing over and over some how deluded that its going to change my opinion. I do wish I could vote for Ron Paul, but I can't so I will vote for McCain.
