My thoughts as a former Republican.
The republican party is still stuck in a Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best world. They are operation on outdated societal structures that do not reflect the make up of modern society. The republican party is still trying to use outdated modes of diplomacy that have proven not to work in many parts of the world. Methods that have failed more often than succeeded. The republican party thinks that as Americans, we are better than anyone else and that everyone else should do as we tell them. If they don't, we should just invade or sanction them. The republican party wants to be the world's policeman/dictator but also wants an isolationist policy at home. The republican party used to stand for small government and emphasized local government. After 9/11, the various things passes under the homeland security acts and bills and whatever have actually brought back some of the very things we fought a revolutionary war against England over. Someone needs to drag the republican party into the 21st century. Think about it. The Republicans and Democrats were not the original main parties of the United States. Over time, parties died as things the parties represented became outdated. Personally, I'm starting to think that it is time the Republican party died out and was replaced by the next main party in line. The Independent Party. |

this government, both democrat and repubics want to dictate to the whole world............that's why we pay such a high price to survive and find prosperity........seems both parties are more interested in sticking there nose where it don't belong.............take care of home first, it is up to us to do that.............this government is so out of control and they become more idiotic everyday..........here is a good one.......why would anyone run for president when HER funds weren't there to cover the expense? bail her out? hell no...........good luck for switching parties..........

My dear this is what MY REPUBLICAN PARTY STANDS FOR:
What Do We Stand For? Most Republicans Agree: The Republican Party considers people capable of taking care of themselves without government interference and micro-management of their lives. Republicans hold that most government-sponsored social welfare programs have been a disaster, not just because of their overwhelming cost, but most importantly because these programs have destroyed community, human responsibility, initiative, and hope. And government intervention has turned our inner cities into war zones where violence and drugs are rampant and civilization has broken down. Republicans believe that socialism, although noble-intentioned, does not work. The solution to the ills caused by the welfare state is to return to understanding of our founding fathers who believed that the scope and power of government should be limited. The founders of our great nation believed that human beings could only achieve real happiness when they were allowed to be free. Freedom means that people are permitted to make their own decisions in life without coercion from other people or the government. Freedom also means that individuals must accept the consequences of their own bad decisions and not blame their condition on others who are more successful. The founders also believed that the free market would work its magic to create prosperity and opportunity for all who are willing to accept the challenges and responsibilities of freedom. Most Republicans agree on the following principles: · Free market system · Limited government · Low taxes and a simplified tax code · Less regulations · Rule of law · Guarantee of private property · Individual freedom · Personal responsibility · Strong national defense · Local control · Traditional values · Tort reform (Reducing frivolous lawsuits) · Equal opportunity for all without quotas · Welfare reform · Quality education with parental choice · Constitution · Bill of Rights Does not sound dead to me. AND,dear one, you CANNONT replace one party with another. The independents are already established, what are you talking about? And, there is the Green Party. Are you totally unaware of these facts? Nope...I think the GOP is still the best deal in town. Bringing them up to today's standards would be disgressing...like the way of society. We have become a nation of needy spoiled dumbed down brats who think they need govt. intervention at every turn. That's a scarey thought for those of us who love our freedoms. |

Americans should elect those who represent real peace , freedom , justice , fairness , and who give America a good name and a good reputation in the globe . Right now the media propaganda has a big say on who get elected and who get rejected . It is time for Americans to fight the lies ,propaganda of both the Administration and the media . This is my opinion as an observer of the American political circus and comedy .( well ,a tragic comedy in a sense of reality ). . |

I think what the republicans are supposed to stand for is our best course of government. Small government and emphasizing local government seems the wisest approach to me. I really haven't been impressed with Bush's administration, but he really hasn't stood for any of that. The Dem's belief of big government is part of our problem. The bigger the government the more difficult it is to manage. And the thing that scares me about dems are the ones pushing for socialization (nationalizing things), which gives the government more power. I do agree that it seems our government is corrupt. But i don't see where the republicans are any worse than the dems. I think people look at the current administration and blame all the flaws on the republicans. You are forgetting that the dems (Clinton) actually pushed pretty hard for outsourcing (which is part of the reason our economy sucks now). The dems are the reason for our dependability on China for food and supplies. Both parties suck right now.

I think that there are too many similarities between the recent mortgage crises and the former Whitewater affair to be merely circumstantial! I believe this is a delayed result of 8 years of Bill's Presidency! I would not vote for Hillary to save my life! If Obama picks her as his running mate I'm not sure who I'll vote for, but I dont think he can be placed in the same group as the Clintons! |
