the use our form line is instructions from their attorney so they know for sure what it says and the medical business does not want to get a form they are not familiar with and the person behind the desk is not trained to check out the wording of the form thus they say you must use our form (understandable imo) but yes it is a pain this is a good case for removing any law forbidding anyone from the right to join together in the eye of the law The law already exists so that this sort of thing wont happen adj. Prosecutors claim the women beat Brown's son, starved him, burned his genitals with cigarettes and forced him to place his hands on a hot stove. The three women are charged with child abuse, dissuading a witness, corporal injury to a child and conspiracy. Brown and Matthews are also charged with torture and face 25 years to life in prison if convicted. this is soo sad...off with their heads, jmo!!! |

When my x-wife's sister's boyfriend sat on her chest, and punched her in the throat over and over until it crushed her larynx and broke her neck, the hospital refused to let my x (her sister) in to see her! She died too! It was sad, but noone sued! This is not a problem about being gay. It happens to a lot of family members in a lot of cases, but it sure looks good in the papers! |

this is why the gay community needs " marriages" or " unions" or whatever you want to call them they really have no rights. Gay couples can't even legally ride in an ambulence together even in this case of 18 yrs the partner is a legal stranger, and then they cannot give permission for medical treatment a " familY" member has to, and even if you've went the legal way to sign papers to give the person permission they can say no and have their lawyers look over it to stop treatment from occuring. Also there's the problem with if they die who their possessions are to go not only that but if their partner receives them they are taxed by the government where as if you were a married man and woman you would not be taxed. There's also the issue of couples adopting children legally right now a child can only have 1 father and 1 mother, so if that parent dies the child can be placed in foster care, with a strange family member etc.. there's so many problems that gay and lesbian couples face that some legal terms need to be given to them. First, if there is a Will, it is a done deal. A person can give whatever they want to anyone they want. The only exception, at least here in PA, is that one cannot totally disinherit a spouse. Otherwise, estate goes to whomever the deceased willed it to. Second, an inheritence tax is paid for by the Estate when an Estate is set up/executed, and in PA one has to be set up, even if going from husband to wife, wife to husband. I cannot go into detail over taxes as estates can be complicated and just too lengthy to state in a forum such as this. Third, if the child is adopted, it goes to the surviving adoptive parent! A legal action such as an adoption, cannot be undone merely because the other adoptive parent becomes deceased. Too many 'what if's' with no known legal knowledge to back up the statements. Lindyy |

When my x-wife's sister's boyfriend sat on her chest, and punched her in the throat over and over until it crushed her larynx and broke her neck, the hospital refused to let my x (her sister) in to see her! She died too! It was sad, but noone sued! This is not a problem about being gay. It happens to a lot of family members in a lot of cases, but it sure looks good in the papers! ************************************************************** Want to hear a good one? When my 19 year old son was the victim of a hit and run, when I got to the hospital and to the Intensive Care Unit, a social worker tried to corner me and talk about organ donations. I quickly pushed her aside. BUT when I got to the entrance of the door of the ICU where Brian was, one of the doctors stopped me and said I could not see Brian, who was dying, ended up brain dead death, until I talked to him about organ donations. He had the vulgar audacity to tell me I had no rights! Can you believe that? Well, I pushed him aside and went straignt to my son's beside. The doctor there told me I could stay as long as I wanted as often as I wanted, with the exception of when they had to do testing required by PA law to medically confirm Brain was dead, brain dead death. I apologize for not reading the article better.
I was wrong not to. The hospital should have honored the Power of Attorney! They were wrong not to! But it happens to a lot of people without them being gay! It is not a gay only problem! |

I was just reading a story yesterday about three women, two who were partners, who tortured their little boy. They burned his hands and genitals among other terrible things. Why? Because the little boy had told officals about the drug use in the families home! I wonder why the GBLT did not make a national media issue out of that incident! Because the fact that two of the women were partners had nothing to do with the incident. |
