Many are Christians now.bigsmile

christians make up a small percentage of people that live in the USA

NOT!
78.4% of Americans are Christians, about 5% belong to other faith traditions and 16.1% are unaffiliated with any religion.

Secular unaffiliated Americans account for 6.3% of the population; religious unaffiliated, 5.8%; atheists, 1.6%; and agnostics, 2.4%.

At 1.7% of the population, Jews make up the next-largest religious group. Buddhists are 0.7% of the population; Muslims 0.6%; and Hindus and New Age followers, both 0.4%.

now you know this purely for the controversy

78.4% of those Americans polled maybe are/were Christians - but not 100.00% of all Americans were polled

biggrin me personally im sorry but i dont like the idea of having a president that will not even salute our flag! and like it or not this country was founded by christians and to me its a smack in the face to all that have fought and died (God rest their souls, and Bless their families) and do fight for all we Americans believe in, with me its not a racial issue at all..as some might believe, but it is a Proud to be an AMERICAN issue and to have a President that will NOT salute OUR national flag would be a disgrace! again please dont argue everyone has the right to their own opinions (one of our freedoms). I was just curious how others felt!

This claim has been disproven.

Unfortunately, many people will believe the rumors, rather than checking if they're true or not.

because christian beliefs are being banned and if the christians say anything about other religions they are considered being prejudiced but sure..its ok for others to do what they believe and it be OK.

I don't support Obama... yet. But when I hear many of the reasons people give for -not- supporting him, I wonder: Thats the best they can come up with?

Lindyy, She said -banned-, not -bashed-. The fact that a collection of individuals each all express their opinions does not, of itself, mean Christian beliefs are being banned.
