“Delays”

As I sit here each night.
I look upon the screen.
Just to hear your voice.
As I type upon this machine.

Wondering what if?
Will that day really come?
And what will happen.
Will we sit back and just say hum?

Why did we wait?
What took us so long?
Did we not know?
How things would go all along.

Oh yes those famous words.
Patience you hear them all say.
Come on now tell me.
Is that not just some cliché?

You know very well.
We have heard that so much.
In the end all we want.
Is to be close and feel their touch.

Just to know one thing in life.
Could this really be?
Will we ever know?
All we want in the end is to see.

That one we dream of.
That seems to leave us in dismay.
Just to feel them up close.
As we wonder what was the delay?

hmmm perhaps the haunting ones serve best as a kick in the butt.

Humm at times you might say that they do.

But.......if only a kick in the butt then it really was not worth it and we move on. The ones that haunt you later and never leave are the ones you don't want around

Girlfriend, you just have to keep thinking you're all that, because you are. If someone can't see that and take a chance there is definately someone that will...and won't they be lucky.
