Go to religion thread, "Chuy!!!!!!" There are things there. I send you there because of the prayer elements.
No news today though. It is Sunday. I know Dr Link goes in every day though.

Keeping Chuy in my prayers.

I am wondering howd he is doing also, but I don't go into the religion threads. I am hoping that you will accept the concern & frienship of a non christian who loves her pets too.

You bet I will. I am having a hard time keeping up with the threads on him. I will most certainly keep updates coming on my little fella.

The thread on him in religion is a very kind thread. I am so happy to all that post there. I am as happy here as well.

I have no new news on him today. I am in hopes that I will hear again tomorrow. I wish it was to where I could bring him home and heal him. I know he is worried and not content.

I am in hopes he is getting his sight back and will be standing up and walking soon. Also pottying on his own such as hiking like he should be doing.

He was very strong the other day when I went to be with him. I couldn't be with him long because his actions and excitement was over the top. We were worried he would injure himself. His little head isn't quit right yet. I am in hopes that everyday will be an improvement for him. I must admit I am fearful of going to see him again for fear he will be too excited again. This time I will take a leash and collar just in case I can take him out and let him walk a bit.
I take treats with me but he isn't interested yet. They tell me that he eats on his own sometimes and they help him eat sometimes.
I am having faith that the Dr and prayers will prevail. Along with his will to come home.

Thank you hon.

I am so glad he is doing better! It sounds like the worst has passed.

I certainly hope so. If his little brain gets better and better and the clots are under control and his vision comes back like we hope, and he can potty on his own we will be a happy family.

Your love for your pet is very nice. But as with us humans pets feel pain and sometimes the best thing we can do FOR THEM, is to stop their pains by putting them to sleep. Its not an easy thing to do but if their in real pain all the time we have to do whats best for them,as they can't make that choice.

Dr Link says he thinks he has a headache. He is getting better, but slowly. Thing is we have to give them the chance to heal. He is doing that to the best of his ability along with the care and knowledge of his Dr. I am sure his eye hurts as well.

Euthanasia is not an option at this time. I did that once....I am still not over it. Dax was a beautiful wonderful loving German Shepherd. He got too sick to do anything with. I took him to many Drs trying to find his problem, med after med and nothing. It killed me. My heart still aches for him.

Chuy, I think is responding to treatment. If he wasn't Dr Link would not be doing all this.

Thank you iam, I know you care.

I saw Chuy today. He is better at standing, but still having problems with his equalebrium. Or maybe it is that he cannot see out of his other eye. I am sure it is hard to find his footing on the ground and trying to figure out whats up and whats down. He was much calmer today with me. We sat and I talked to him and held him close. I took him outside and let him on the ground soon as I felt comfortable enough to do so. He walked while I held his underside and he alsmost ran trying to find all the smells on the ground. But, he couldn't do that without me helping him. We had a long visit. I got off work at 5 and drove right out to see him. They close at 6 but, they let me stay until 6:30 and he had just relaxed and layed down comfortably in my arms, just about to sleep in them. But, I had to take him back to his cage and bed for the night. They were fixing to feed him by hand. He doesn't like that science diet can food. I already knew that though. He has lost some weight. I took along a carry water bowl. He was so thirsty. I told them that, and they said they were afraid to leave it full in his cage while no one was there, because they were afraid he would possible get his nose in it and not get out. I don't think so though. He found his way into the water bowl quite well, and out of it.
He is til not seeing out of that eye though. I want to know why?
It should be fine, unless the brain swelling did something to it.
I am going to buy him a good harness to help him stand up and walk better when I see him. I think if I can hold him up while he tries to walk it would be much better.

He was so sweet. I think he knows I am coming back now.

Love you guys

my heart and thought with you and chuy.
i'll have my dogs send their love too!!!!!

but know this----i firmly believe that they never leave us.

a dog learns unconditional love and acceptance much quicker than we do.....that's why they don't live as long as we do
(i have the story in my scapbook-from a young kid. i'll mail the whole thing to you if you want)

if you love(d) him with all your heart you've done all that was asked:smile:

No news today on Chuy. I am hoping with all my might that he gets his sight back soon. It is freaky that he can't see? Shouldn't be that way.
I am going to try and see him tomorrow. I am going to take him some food from home and his own water bowl, a blanket to sit outside on and a leash to try and walk him on his own.
At least that is the plan right now. He isn't eating their science diet stuff very well.
He eats dry food, "Bil Jac dry, and a combination of other no grains or additives dry food",he needs to get his weight back on.
Gonna take some doggie body wipes to freshen him up too, and a brush. He loves to be brushed.

I sure do miss having him here to play with. I hope and pray he can get back to my ole Chuy.
