the sheepie are those that buy into what they are lying about

only if i cared what he had to say and i dont

because it does not matter what either one of them say

laugh laugh laugh

it matters not that he dropped out

if he was truly my candidate

i just thought he was the closest to what a candidate should be

i am sure he had a few issues as well

but he supported the constitution

and since he dropped out i may just write him in as a protest

and he effectivly dropped out before it became official when he said he would only run as a republican (they would never let that happen) if he truly cared he would pick a popular democrat for vp and run as another choice

so does he really care --- hhhmmmmm

things that make you go hhhhmmmmmmmmm

Fanta, I watched this video. ??????????????

Senator McCain is a POW and he knows first hand all that Obama talked about.

Oh, just FYI in case you missed it, the GI bill for improved and better benefits and education for vets is on its way to being signed into law.

Here is a copy of the E-mail I received June 20, 2008, from IAVA which I support:

"(I deleted my name)"
"We just received some great news from Washington, DC and I wanted to share it with you right away.

The White House and Congress have reached an agreement on the new GI Bill. The bill will now be included in the Emergency Supplemental Funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The House of Representatives gave their overwhelming stamp of approval to the plan on Thursday afternoon with a vote of 416-12. Once the Senate passes the updated version of the bill, it will go to the President's desk for his signature.

Last week, Paul told you about the final hurdles facing the new GI Bill. The President was threatening to veto it, and a small group of representatives in the House was planning to stall the bill on a technicality. But people like you have shown extraordinary support for this bill over the past several weeks. By keeping the pressure on the President, you truly made a difference.

In fact, on the Senate floor yesterday, Vietnam veteran and Senator Jim Webb mentioned your impact when he said, "I would like to again express my appreciation to the veterans' service organizations, many of whom communicated their support of this bill directly to a skeptical White House."

Our hard work in fighting for the new GI Bill continues to pay off. The White House and members of Congress put aside their differences to come together and show real support for our troops. This fight will be remembered as a great example of Washington choosing patriotism over partisanship.

This development comes at an especially fitting time, since we're only a few days away from the 64th anniversary of the original GI Bill being signed into law.

We are about to make history ourselves. While we wait for the President's signature, I'd like you to know how inspiring your support has been throughout this fight.

Thank you for standing with us.

Sincerely,

Patrick Campbell
Iraq Veteran
Legislative Director
Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America"

Two soldiers now acquited, innocent in the Haditha farce, are now suing Senator John Murtha for slander. I hope they get millions.

All soldiers were found innocent, besides one who is awaiting verdict.

Lindy,

The Senate has overwhelmingly passed a new GI bill and billions in new domestic spending as part of the $165 billion Iraq war funding bill pending before Congress.

The 75-22 vote marked a resounding victory for Senate Democrats as well as Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.), who has battled to expand the educational benefits for soldiers who served in Iraq. The vote was the first critical hurdle in a three vote package on the Iraq war funding bill. The measure also included a 13 week extension of unemployment insurance, home heating assistance and other domestic spending add ons. President Bush has threatened to veto the bill, which will top $200 billion with the extra spending.

What was most surprising was not that the domestic funding amendment and the GI bill won a majority of the Senate votes, but that half of the Senate’s 49 Republicans bucked President Bush and GOP presidential candidate John McCain to back the dramatically expanded GI bill. Many uncertain Republicans stood in the well of the Senate, taking their time to make a decision. Virtually every GOP senator who is politically vulnerable this year voted for the domestic spending, including Sens. John Sununu of New Hampshire and Roger Wicker of Mississippi.

In all 25 Senate Republicans broke ranks with Bush/McCain to support the measure, giving the bill a veto-proof majority. Even Lieberman voted for it. Both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama spoke in favor of the bill and voted for it. McCain, who has repeatedly said he opposes the measure, decided to raise money in California and skipped the vote. All 22 “nay” votes were conservative Republicans.

Bush threatens to veto the bill because he feels it will keep soldiers from reenlisting at a time they are already having trouble recruiting.
McCain said the same thing publicly, but then didnt even show up to vote! noway noway

Isn't this what my e-mail said?

You confuse me at times.

This is an issue I do not care why Senator McCain did not show up for, but he supports it. President Bush came to an agreement with congress to pass this bill. I think he had an issue with some spending for other issues that he did not think were appropriate.

Anyway, it is good news right?
