Going off some of the topic's i have been seeing. "Hugs"

Where do you stand as far as giving another man a hug?

Are you the type that are stand off ish and just does hand shake's

or are you the type that is secure that hugs there dad and some close friends.

Might be a funny question to some but it also can tell a little bit about some one...

Never really had a problem with it. I grew up in a household where it was considered unmanly and shameful, but I pretty much decided around age 10 that everything about that place was wrong anyway.

My best friend (who is a guy!) and I hug pretty frequently. I think it's nice to be able to express ourselves that way without feeling self-conscious or inhibited about it.

And, as a hockey player, I end up getting hugged all the time, by teammates (and occasionally the opposition!)....just goes with the territory....

Sure, just keep your hand where i can see themlaugh See now looking at that, what i just said and it's usually women saying that. How can they see your hands if you give them a hug. Do they have on eye in the back of there headlaugh laugh

Your one of the few that grew up in a household like that that made up there own mind. It wasn't till latter years that my family really started to express themselves. I have one brother up until i moved to Utah last your, always gave a hand shake. That was the first time the one brother ever gave me a hug.

Sports that usually happens and if your not the the type that likes a hug. Wrong place to belaugh

But they do have eyes in the back of their head...how else would they know your doing something wrong when you're standing behind them.smokin

I don't like to be touched...at all. Outside of sex, I'm even uncomfortable when my girlfriend touches or hugs me.

I was actually wating to see if somone would come out and what you did. hope you don't mind me asking. I can see a little bit about not the same sex, but the part about your own gf has me curious. Why is that your uncomfortable with her being affectionate with you?

I link touching with pain...because I was abused as a child. So now I don't like anyone touching me at all.

Guys I grew up with and haven't seen in a long time - sure, no problem. After all, we've been through a lot together. Male relatives? The traditional "one shoulder to one shoulder" brief touch, with a firm handshake.

I would not mind hugging a guy close to me. I merely do just the typical pat on the back thing. I'm pretty comfortable doing that, just as long as things don't get all mushy.

I prefer to "nod" at people...I think the Japanese custom of bowing is a pretty good one.

At least I'm not quick to remove a person's hands from my body. If a woman touches me, I just stiffen up, if a man touches me, I ask him to "kindly remove his hands". Was a time when I'd remove them myself.
