Good website...although I don't neccessarily agree with some of the other articles written on the website( a couple of doctrinal differences here and there )

There will always be some "doctrinal differences" among christians.
But more Importantly , when it comes to the CORE of what Christianity is all about, ALL christians Agree(no matter what the denominational differences otherwise) .flowerforyou

What I don't understand is why is evolution the only scientific thing that gets you going? Why not meterology also.

here in the Bible it says the Ostrich..

39:14 Which leaveth her eggs in the earth, and warmeth them in dust,
39:15 And forgetteth that the foot may crush them, or that the wild beast may break them.
39:16 She is hardened against her young ones, as though they were not her's: her labour is in vain without fear;
39:17 Because God hath deprived her of wisdom, neither hath he imparted to her understanding.

Job 39

Why doesn't someone get on the Zoologists that believe the Ostrich is a great mother that takes care of the Egg and even watches the hatching until it can run with the others.

Who is going to make sure that this direct teaching that is counter to Gods word will be stopped?

Why did an all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, God create an animal-eat-animal world in the first place?

A God that can do anything, could have easily created a world where the distinction between plant an animal is not the slightest bit questionable, and where all animals are vegetarians with no need to defend their young from preditors.

I personally feel that there are humongus problems with a world that was supposedly designed by an intelligent creator.

Especially one that is said to lay down moral rules and judge people on them for all eternity.

Seems like such a God isn't displaying very high moral standards to begin with just via the works of his very own creation.

The human animal eats meat. Probably most humans.
Isn't it a food chain?

Then again.....time was when all animals and man came together and lived in harmony?

I think the book of Genesis will show that that's exactly what was created! Then we people messed it up!

Abra;

Why is it okey for society to have moral rules, but not God?

Is it unjust for government to punish Murderers, rapists, thieves, etc, etc? Since God is not allowed that right... Why does society have it?

Where is the ACLU when you need them. All this injustice being done to the amoral!

<<Since God is not allowed that right... Why does society have it?>>

Never heard of Sodom and Gomorrah? Or The Great Flood in Noah's day?

Wow, if that's not judgment, or punishment, what is?

I'm not asking if God has punished - I'm asking why he does not appear to have the right to.

I'm not sure I understand your line of though here. It seems to me that God, being omnipotent, has the right and will to do as He sees fit at any given time. In the "Book of the Law", that'd be Leviticus, God lays out the laws that His people are to follow. If I remember correctly He also lays down the punishment for breaking those laws.
We have to remember that we've been given free-will. We're not robots. God is just and will forgive,if we ask. So maybe He's also VERY patient. I mean he's put up with me and my ways for nigh on 50 years now,,,,lol

What makes you think God wouldn't have the right to make moral rules?

I was just pointing out the fact that the mythological god described in the biblical stories clearly has terrible morals.

You see the biblical God sits in judgment of everyone, therefore it would be utterly absurd to have the judge doing things that go against what he is judging others for.

Clearly the bible was written by men who made this stuff up.

That's the whole point Eljay.

It's doesn't make sense to have a hypocritical God.

A God that doesn't pass judgments on people can do whatever it likes. But a God that passes eternal judgments on people must set an example, otherwise it's a hypocritical God.

Well actually...if humans didn't have any REDEEMING qualities that God looks for he could probly just destroy us & be done with it. That is...people who would believe Him & seek Him.

You forget one thing...our soul & spirit live on into eternity & if that's true it has to go somewhere. That's why I say...there are no fence sitters. You are either going to heaven & you will be in eternal damnation. We don't just go away because we die.

Sure thing...people have to have someone to blame for their human frailties...
