less jobs for us Are you wiling to do the much, much, much less than glamorous jobs they do? For instance mow yards in 100 degree heath? Clean toilets in hotel rooms? Bus tables in a restaurant, and get paid whatever the employer wants to pay you? …… Didn't think so.... pay taxes? they pay taxes, but never get to claim them, like we do.. |

less jobs for us My last job went to China. The "immigrants" didn't keep it from going there. They helped it along quite nicely. |

All the ones I worked with were legal. Of course the bar for citizenship doesn't seem to be very high. Most of them didn't speak very good English either.

less jobs for us My last job went to China. The "immigrants" didn't keep it from going there. They helped it along quite nicely. Simple enough. A lot of these guys worked alongside me and were at the same meetings I went to regarding production quotas and cost cutting in lieu of moving the business elsewhere. Apparently most of them were either unable to grasp the concept or simply chose to ignore it. Most of them were failing to make their production or scrapping more product or both before they shut the doors. This went on for at least six months prior. Not all, but most of them. Still, can't really expect a whole lot else. You get what you pay for. Cheap labor results in cheap and shoddy work. |

USUALLY hard workers is what comes to mind. Rarely do I see an immigrant in the welfare office here.......usually young, able bodied white men in the welfare office line here anyways...

We had some good people working there as well. One of my ex-coworkers was from Bosnia and literally worked their ass off the entire time they were there in addition to holding down a second job on their off time. But for the most part (and this is why I have a problem with so called EOE) a lot of people there weren't qualified to hold their jobs and shouldn't have been hired in the first place. But in the interest of saving a couple of bucks in the short term, companies seem to let things like that slide. |

They helped it along quite nicely. it's called Globalization, "the immigrants" don't let this happen, your GOVERNMENT does, they want to wipe out the middle class, and so far doing a great job companies want to make products and cut costs to retain profits, they cut costs and the North American people/companies lose out. from a business point of view, makes sense |

Yeah, except the company already had a plant in China prior to the move and we had actually been outproducing that plant. When that stopped, they simply shifted equipment to the other facility to offset the costs from the waste at our plant. The government had nothing to do with this one. Sorry.
