Nothing but silence
My thoughts echo off the walls of my mind and my room
I close my eyes
Lay back in the bed
Inhaling
Exhaling
Inhaling
Exhaling
Letting my mind drift from thought to thought
Losing its self in itself
Hands at my side
Floating
Slipping away
Separating from my physical body
And my spirit flies free
Hovering above myself I look down
Knowing that I am serene
My spirit floats ever higher
To the plane beyond this existence
Voices soft and sweet whisper in my ear
A hand reaches for mine
Urging me to follow
I go with this other spirit
Fearing nothing
A calming warmth spreads over me
I am at peace
I follow along
Through meadows and streams
Over mountains and rivers
We stand before a valley
Humankind and animals in harmony
The other spirit gently touches my shoulder
Whispering softly in my ear
"Your journey will end here
You've only just begun
Your time in the sun
You've no reason now to live in fear"
The spirit becomes clearer to my eyes
Who it is comes as no surprise
My Goddess, a vision in white
"Turn now you know your way back
Remember my words now my child
Keep them close in your heart"
I turn and make my way back
Back over rivers and mountains
Through streams and meadows
Descending slowly back into my body
Breathing becomes regular
Eyes open slowly
Peace in my soul
