Fanta im with u and u know it, Oil is old, outdated and is very destructive as a fuel source. Its use a energy source has this country stuck in the dark ages, and its disgusting to see. I personally have made biofuel in my garage using a formula that costs me about six cents a gallon to produce, and my 1979 mercedes gets about 28 miles a gallon with it. These gas prices are nothing short of extortion being portrade on the American People by our own goverment and these big buissness blowhards. If we Americans wernt so damn lazy and stagnant, we would realize that there is something we can do about it, we just have to have the knowledge and the will power to do it!! By the way Lindy, he should be impeached for LIEING to the entire world about Iraq's nuclear weapons program and GROSS INEFIENCY and for simply being a Silver Spoon Fed Retard. The US congress impeached a President for lieing about getting his **** sucked by an intern but yet they refuse over lies about weapons of mass distruction and wasting precious lives in combat based on those lies? It just shows the moronic way of thinking that this country has, SEX is Evil but Violence is Permisable, I cant see ANY consistancy in these scenerios what so ever and that makes me sick!!

President Bush did NOT lie to the whole world about Iraq, everyone, foreign country leaders included, was on the same que as President Bush. If you would just listen to Sean Hannity's programs once in a blue moon you would hear the tapes he has of all the democrats, Clinton, Pelosi, Kerry, etc. admitting they had the same info as President Bush ALONG WITH tapes from years ago when ALL of the above-mentioned admitted the danger of Hussein and admission of his chemical warfare products, etc.  Please do not be one of the ones who are idiotic enough to think that Republicans do not know how to look up past admissions/actions of politicians and bring them to the public's attention. Hannity and Limbaugh are excellent, superb at researching and looking up information. This totally amazes me that politicians think they can escape the past, that people forget, especially for an example, the stories Hillary made up about her visit to Iraq, Chelsea being in danger walking the streets of New York when 9/11 happened. Good Lord, there is so much on tape, I do not understand how any politician can try to get out of anything. It is all right there on tapes and written in black and white in news articles, just for the looking up of same. Lindyy

Lindy the reason is the way we shouldnt, its horrible distructive both on the enviroment and to ourselves, One of my best friends is a research scientist and a physician, Ive seen some of her research on the link with Carbon Monoxcide exposure and Cancer. Take a guess what comes out of a tailpipe of an automobile that is run on Petrouleum? WE are CAUSING some of OUR OWN CANCERS BY USING THIS CRAP!! WE are slowly commiting suicide by allowing this stuff to be used!! Its that bad!

Really though, No one doubts it's there, but it wont help for at least 5-10 yrs and then wont lower oil prices by any significant amount. And then at what cost? Dont you agree that the air Pollution caused by burning fossil fuels is destroying the environment?  Do you not follow the species of Marine life that are affected by oil spills and the destruction of their habitat? Have you ever been to the Gulf Coast and seen the water? Its Nasty! We have the technology to do better. The only ones that benefit from continued drilling and our reliance of fossil fuels is the oil companies, and by proxy the likes of Bush and Cheney! |

The real reason for the high oil prices is a direct result of Bush's meddling aggressive foreign policies in the middle east!
OPEC could raise oil production. They could but they wont. Of course Saudi Arabia is who Bush relies on most and they claim it market speculation that is causing the high prices. I almost believe them because Bush is trying this distraction routine to distract everyone here at home! |

Opec is hesitant to increase production because they don't want to see the cost per barrel fall like it did in the past when they increased oil productuion.

And it has been 10 years since Bill Clinton vetoed the bill to drill so too bad that oil isn't flowing today.........Just might have allowed a few more refineries to be built too.
