QS:

That's an easy one.... like I say...God's word is just a book to those who haven't recieved the life of it yet. That means the law itself is powerless.... Christ came to give LIFE in the Spirit that brings those words to life & that brings a change of heart & really...a new creation...fully equipped by God...for His good purposes.

tribo:

thnx qs - so are you saying then that those before the law were not just as full of faith and salvation as those after the law? That their faith and rightteousness was less than after the law?

Well before the law there were alter sacrifices...that was for repentance too. Until Christ came... He came to FULFILL the law. From the time of Adam & Eve when God killed the animals for their clothing...that was the 'cover" God gave them.

Since heavenly kingdom living is not carnal...do you think we can attain it in the physical?

i dont belive perfection is possible in the human or spiritual form either one. That however does not really answer my question, what i'm asking is were the men who god found righteous in his eye's in the old testament

Human perfection is very different than Godly or heavenly perfection. Why categorize it that way?

TRIBO:

i don't believe your god to be perfect QS, perfect is a word i donot use often and when i do it's to say something negative like "perfect mistake" or perfectly stupid, etc.. No one can say what perfect is from expierience in a positive way and know for sure that the statement is true. That's just an pinion of one's own idea of what is perfect. but the question i'm still asking is - were those before the law that god chose "just as perfect in your god's eyes as those after jesus?

I like to think of perfection as a state of being content with the truth no matter where it leads.
