Do you have a choice as to if you fall in love? Can you make a choice not to fall in love?

I think if you are insecure and have that wall up that alot of us do, it makes falling in love harder if not impossible.

I believe you do have that choice

I used to think it was a conscious choice until I actually fell in love. Then I knew it wasnt'.

i dont think you can choose who you fall in love with, or make your self love someone. I do think however that you can make yourself fall out of love with someone.

I think we have a choice!
I believe love is largely a state of mind and being. If you are not in that state for reasons known or sometimes unkown at limes, it won't happen. |

I don't believe it is a choice. I believe when a real connection happens on the highest level, we do not choose it..it chooses us.

You do not at all have a choice....For me when someone falls in love it can happen two ways...That first encounter and love at first sight...Do I believe in it...you bet your sweet bippy I do....
Then there is the one I call on-line love. I think people fall in love on line faster then in real life...and again I will explain. You don't meet the person right away. so all you have is communication and depending on how well that is done is if someone could fall in love....ANSWER: YES YES YES AND YES. As for me communication is the key to any good relationship and if you have it here....thats half the battle. And the more you get to know someone and the more you open up and talk to each other the chances are greater that you will fall in love. Now of course I have a in as far as love on line being the matchmaker and all. I have seen it a lot and believe it with my whole heart and soul....thats what makes me good at what I do........so yes yes yes fall in love...and don't hold back......tell the person you love them...and if they say not until we meet.......pfffft......it will just confirm what the person who is already in loves knows. |

i don't think it's a choice. You can't choose who you are going to fall in love with.

Fall in love? I'm afraid I've never been that graceful ... I tend to stumble, trip, and scrape my knee before face planting into it!

You cannot control feeling love if it's there, but you can stop yourself from divulging it or acting on it if you really want to. When the love is returned, it's extremely hard to do though...maybe impossible.

Do you have a choice as to if you fall in love? Can you make a choice not to fall in love? I think -- if you really try, and you really want to make yourself believe it -- you can sort of talk yourself out of it. I mean, it's not honest, it's a deception, but people can fool themselves into thinking things that aren't true. That's the whole basis for the advertising industry. People who have any sense of internal self-integrity won't try to lie to themselves, though. It is what it is, as Kerry Wood said before his arm fell off. |
