When should ya tell someone that ya have it? Should it matter that that
ya have it if both of ya is in love?

So we're talking about a staph infection right? Yeah tell her you have
it. I had it about seven years ago on my spinal column, had surgery, and
then six months pain-staking rehab. So I know what your talking about
and don't let that sh*t get out hand!!!

Dont hold nothing back because it may not be good in the long run,if you
have something to tell someone very special tell them before someone
else beats you to it

Tony,
I am a microbiology technologist at a large trauma center in the city.
I work with MRSA everyday. I'm a little confused by your question
however...lol I'm aware of how contagious. Please forgive me if I am out
of line or completely off base but...are you concerned about it being
sexually transmitted? Feel free the slap the crap out of me if I am
wrong....

When I went to the doctor with it, he just stood back and looked at a
couple of the spots that was on my leg at the time and told that it is a
staph infection. No test of any sort was run and he gave me 2 types of
medicines to use. One was a cream I use in m nose and the other was a
sulpha????? type antibiotic. Sorry, but I cant remember the name of the
pills. He didn't say that it is a CA-MRSA. When I was talkin to some
others about it, they said that with the medicine I named it was classed
as a CA-MRSA. I went about 2 months before I was able to go the doctor
with it. That was in 2005. All that the doc said was that I have a
staph infection and that I would have outbreak the rest of my life. Now
that I have the web, I am tryin to find out more on it. I got it from a
older cousin that I use to hang out with. He got it from a motorcycle
accident he had. I have told every woman that I wanted to get to know
better, but they changd their minds when I told them about havin it.

Tony, just continue to be honest, you will find the right woman who will
love you for you. Then nothing will scare her off.

Good luck to you.

Dude, outbreaks for life?!?! Hmmmm, I must've had a different type of
staph infection because I don't get outbreaks. That sucks though, and I
know a good antibotic that fights that is Keflex. Clears up any
infection, not matter for bad. With women not digging you because you
told them, I like to say there some shallow biotches out there and don't
give up the search, dude.

MRSA - is Methicillin resistant staph aureus - also known as the flesh
eating disease. This is the one that is in the news if people don't
catch it early and treat it right away, it can get away from them and do
some major tissue damage.

Ok, Im real SORRY HEAR but WTF,,,,,,,,,,

You folks are losing me ?????

My daughter had a staph infection on her nose when she was about 10
years old,,,a antibiotic and to keep it clean, and
no worries and NO COME BACK??????

And I have NEVER been told that a STAPH INFECTION can be given or
transmitted through sex, unless ----
the staph infection was in or around ones SEX organs????

And even then, I have never heard of "THAT", ????

AM I STUPID HERE??????? OR WHAT, FOLKS????

This is a newer version, this one has developed resistance to
penicillin, the one your daughter had probably was treated fine with
penicillin but with years of overuse of antibiotics a lot of the bugs
are developing resistance, and this is one of those bugs.

It is nasty, in fact, if you get it they not only treat the person, but
will tell them to take a shower in a mild Clorox mixture and wash their
whole house down with bleach, and do all their laundry, bedding, etc,
especially if you have little children around.

Before you assume it is what you have though, you need to see a Dr. and
have them culture to make sure that is the one you have.

 Thank you, Marie...I did not know of this, New kind,
but still, it is not a vaginal or penis carried disease????
That Doctor's have ruled as a VD transmitted disease, so if his wounds
were covered and no open fluids were visible,,,
that is my untrained thoughts!!!!! Good luck..
And if YOU have had a staph infection for two years you should have been
hospitalized by NOW??????blushing

This is one of the reasons I believe in the old-school adage of letting
my kid get a little dirty form time to time. And no drugs for minor
issues. Antibiotics are NOT for viruses, and only cause the bugs to
develop resistance to them.

We can let our immune systems develop stronger resistance with the "good
foods" and avoiding things like advertized "anti-bacterial" soap, etc.
This type of soap is ultimately a waste of money anyway. All you really
need is a good old fashioned bar of no-name stuff. Why do we
collectively insist on believeing all the things said in advertizing,
when the majority of what is said is a fallacy? When reading or hearing
about a great product, remember to take the information with a grain of
salt, always...

I get very sick from time to time. I aint been to the hospital with it,
cause I cant afford it. No job right now. I have no insurance either.
The best thing that I have ben told to do to keep othrs from gettin it
is to use a hand sanitizer that is alcohol based and wask my hands with
soap and warm wate several times a day. Dont scratch or squeeze the
spots either or it will spread even more. If anything, let a doctor
lance it fer ya. I know a few people to have that done and they aint
broke out any more. I wish I could have been that lucky.
