If you really want to change the country,
you have to vote a President into office
with a message of change and 70% (min) vote!

Then, Congress will be forced to stand up as one body,
listen, and see we are serious about the need for change
in our government.

If not then,
rinse and repeat!!

Quit voting the same professional politicians (incumbents) back into office 20 yrs straight, because their name is the only name you recognize on the ballot!

But Fanta, WHAT CHANGE? He has yet to say what he means by Change!yawn yawn

Lindy,

Put down the Bushie indoctranation manual, step back, now open your eyes and look around; Do you see this mess???
CHANGE FROM THIS!

Damn Republicansgrumble

This post-9/11 crap, with this terriorisic "oh its bound to happen again" and this terrior threat levels adverstised on television. This "Patriot Act" BS. Its a loud of crap, if the Bush Administration had taken heed to the MEMO that was on Condelezza Rice's desk that read "Islamic Extremists plan to attack the USA using Airplanes" dated January 25, 2001, 9/11 would have never happened ask a man by the name of Richard Allan Clarke, former chief counter-terrorism adviser on the U.S. National Security Council.

Michelle Obama is a socialist.

"Then someone is going to have to give up a piece of their pie so that someone else can have more" - Michelle Obama, April 8, 2008

"And Barack will require you to work. He is going to demand that you shed your cynicism. That you put down your division. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, unimproved, uniformed." - UCLA Grad Speech, Feb. 3, 2008

Weatlh redistribution, government telling you how to live your life.

Is this the CHANGE we are talking about? The Democratic Congress, which he is apart of, has broken the record of pork in their first year alone since taking majority!

"For the first time, I am proud of my country."

Oh, I must not understand that line cause I'm not black. But then again I didn't attend Princeton, Harvard, and sleep with the summer intern at the law office I was working at as well.

What makes socialism bad? Oh, darn, someone else in this country giving back to the people that are less fortunate and allowing a level playing field! shucks, Capitalism breeds selfishness, thats one reason for these 2 ton people in America. As far as wealth redistributing, look what it did for the state of Louisianna at the turn of the last century, it works. The Brain child of Huey Long did wonders for the state of louisianna and it can work for this country 2

LMAOlaugh Yes look what it has done for LA. they still haven't recovered from a hurricane. Here in Florida we have gotten hit by two, three hurricanes a year that devestate our state...yet we manage to recover without all the whining and excuses like in your state. You have so many handouts (which people feel is somehow their right) that no one takes responsibility for their own lives.Yes in your opinion government is always the answer and the problem solver for all your woes.....sorry but when my roof was torn off and had no electric for a week I didn't blame Bush or anyone else and dealt with my circumstances on my own.The more you give government control over your life the less freedoms you will have...that is the problem with socialism.

Well here is what I think. I didnt want Clinton to get elected and I dont want Obama in office either, but If he were to be elected that makes him the president of my country and I would be damned if I would let any F_ck head show disrepsect to my country by attacking my president. It doesnt matter if I like him or not, its the principle of the thing. Its kind of like the dumb@sses that try to make a point about somehthng they dont like by disrespecting the flag. Look, if you dont like this country, as we all know the borders are porous, you'r welcome to leave.

Just for the record, this was not aimed at any previous poster.

I remember when JFK was killed, it was the roughest spot this country had to overcome. We ended up with mister "I will not seek or accept the nomination for president of the United States". I think people who advocate the killing of our President are terrorest and should be hunted down and taken to Gitmo with the other American haters. As far as direspecting the flag, I'm told they have the right. But they better take notice if I see them do it, I will fulfill my oath to protect it from enemys both foreign and domestic. If they burn it they had better be wrapped in it.

Don't have to read a history book to see what a sorry state of affairs LA is in...corruption, too many social programs make the state one of the poorest in the nation.

So, take from me and give to you? Thanks, but no thanks. Our country does have a level playing field. Look at Obama, great example of it. Capitalism bred, our country bred the most giving country in all the world.

Oh yes, Louisiana is a very upscale place, very low crime and poverty most certainly and no corruption. Seriously, all sarcasm aside, that state is a prime example of what you shouldn't do when running a state. Hopefully the new Governor Bobby Jindal, an INDIAN-AMERICAN (level playing field again), will turn that state around.

Socialism are not the principles this country was founded on. You can be whatever you want to be, do whatever you want to do. And, if you choose, give back to the community and those less fortunate. This country does just that, in amazing amounts of donations in our own communities, country, and even to those around the world.

Ask us to give and we shall.

Socialism has never bred success. It has only led to further corruption, breakdown of efficiencies of an already inefficient state, and an eroding of the liberties of men.

Socialism is totalitarianism with a human face.
