Topic: the war on iraq.

I have two sons in the military who volunteered for the right reason. To give back something to their country. If you don't support what is happening in Iraq that's your choice. However support those men and women in uniform who are away from their loved ones and are in harms way 24 hours a day. They are fighting the war on terrorism for all of us.

Do you think that Iraq will take us over if we call off the war ? What do you mean really ?. Isnt that what some people think? Yep. The "if we don't fight 'em there, we'll have to fight them here" crowd.

Oh, Lindyy... You and the neocons helped to save the world by invading Iraq and saving the people from the horrible dictator (who we used to fund when it suited us). What about Darfur? Why aren't we saving the people from the real genocide there? Maybe because what's black in Sudan isn't oil... Yes..and of course Clinton and his con men(as apposed to neo cons..lol) stopped the slaughter of over 300,000 people a week in Rwanda till over 3 million innocent people were wiped out.....yes he just stood by and didn't lift a finger and it has spilled over into all the surounding countries...but somehow I think you would find Bush and his "neo cons" responsible for that too Valid point, but the Democrats don't advocate an interventionist foreign policy like the neocons. You up for invading Iran too? After all the rhetoric about destroying Isreal from the leaders of the Iranian government...I think it would be wise to consider that option IF Iran developes neuclear capabilities...hopefully we can wait them out till the people can rise up (there are many pro American Iranians)and change the leaders to more moderate thinkers.

The "if we don't fight 'em there, we'll have to fight them here" crowd. Iraq had no power to fight Americans in America : this is a propaganda to have support for unjust , unfair war that has many purposes by the Hawks and the neo cons . The people of Iraq are poor ,weak and America is a super power : it is like saying a new born kid is going to fight an elephant ...... .

As for Israel, they have nukes and the Iranians know they'll be vaporized if they ever launched such an attack on the Jewish state.

Agree with your assessment......but although you are right that Isreal can and will defend itself...it would only inflame the situation in the middle east if it was Isreal that took out Irans nukes. Another very serious point to consider is if Iran does get neuclear weapons I doubt you will see them launched from missiles...they would most likely try to sneak weapons into countries to be denotated by jihadists...thereby making us vulnerable as well.

We are not in the stone ages . We have laws and the power of elections too .

Years ago when we supported a Nicaraguan dictator, FDR said of him, "Somoza may be a son of a ***, but he's our son of a ***." That's Musharraf.

Israel cant defend itself against Iran. Not without us, and it would be catastrophic if we attempt to take out Iran's Nuclear capability! Not impossible but very hard and the loss of life would be worse than Nagasaki and Hiroshima combined if we Nuke them. Political ramifications would be anyone's guess. (unknown but far-reaching)

We have to learn to TALK to other countries, and consider their sovereignty, their rights, and their worries. We have to get back to leading by example and stop bullying others.
