I'll be 38 this year. My personal limits run about ten years on either side. Using these limits, I've gone all the way to the lower end of my limit...and been disappointed really, because that "kid" and I really had nothing in common. Just because she was attracted to me does not mean we shared the same "background" that fed our beliefs and opinions...and made them mesh.

I am 25 and not a kid. I kinda resent that remark.. Age doesen't make a couple. Knowing what each other wants and needs does. I know that I want my man to be the breadwinner and he wants me barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. That is what makes us happy. For that I am grateful. I love my man I am 25 he is 33. Age only proves how long you have been here on earth, it doesn't determine your IQ.

I really loathe when people judge younger women like that. He obviously just got one that wasn't done growin up yet. I'm an even mix of old fashioned and modern, and really the only men who ever seem to be truly interested are a bit older then myself. I take it as a huge complement personally, because those men seem to know what they want and appreciate my personality. I've almost always dated men who were at least a few years older then I am. I've dated a little younger too, but at 23 "younger men" are very young and not ready for the level of commitment I am hoping to have in my life. Its completely understandable, however I grew up very quickly and don't have the patience to wait for someone to grow up. Nobody in my family has ever really looked at age for a partner. My Grandpa was 10 years older than my Granny, as was her second husband. My mother is 10 years older than my father. LOL, my mom's even dated men closer to my age then her own, and even laughs and says the man I am speaking to is too old for herlaugh He's like me though, he's a little old fashioned yet a modern thinker. Sorry for rambling... its early yetlaugh

I've had problems with a few young women trying to get to know me, make passes at me, ect ect.

The thing to consider rather than judging someone by age is simply a reality of how some people mature. I'm older, I want to relax, have low or no drama, and just enjoy spending time with someone. I lack the need to go contanstly, pay attention to the latest fad, or constantly do something different.

I simply didn't enjoy spending time with them or being around them other than one and she never showed interest.

it was nothing personal and with the way it is stated it can cause a reaction but the sentiment can be valid.

oneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee more time..

Age differences ROCK. Who gives a rat's ass what anyone else says., go with your gut. You like someone, you feel the chemistry., make it so #1:wink:

Yeah i can see you being with an 18 your old LMAO

welllllllllllllllllll ... LMAO

Seriously though, I guess I should clarify, even I date within reason. I won't date anyone under 30 anymore because of the uncomfortable situations that might arise with my children. And I do care very much what they think .. for our relationship's sake.

I agree with some of both posters comments here ..

There are a lot of younger guys that are so totally "their age" ie, especially irresponsible, that I can't look past it.

But more often I've dated guys too, who even being 20-25 years younger .. we have an amazing time together.

And personally I date younger because I LIKE the younger mindset. They are F U N! Personality has a lot to do with that as well though.

Stereotyping is defined as ignorance .. so it's important we don't roll everyone into one category.

some nice answers there.

it kinda bothers me in some ways, but i know that it really shouldnt make any difference at all, but i dunno, i guess i just remember what i was like at her age... does that make any sense?? nah, prob not!

if i'm enjoying myself and smiling, then im happy :)

It all depends on if you are going to the same place in life.

Nothing older than me that for sure.

I'm 5 yrs. older than my ex.

My ex is five years older than me, do the mathlaugh
That why I want younger.laugh

I'm younger than you.

But..seriously, just because my ex is five years younger than me and we didn't work out doesn't mean that someone else that age won't work out.

Age is just a number. Know people of all ages that don't act their age in a positive and a negative way. Want some one who can carry on an intellegent conversation and are secure in themselves.

The first one was 18. I met her at college. She wasn't STUPID, but she was very naive. The second one was a disabled 25-year old woman. Also very naive...and unable to stand up for herself also. Neither one of them could relate to me in terms of music, or knowledge of what was, to me, "current events" in MY life, but "history" to them.

"I read about that in high school." is not the same as "I REMEMBER when that happened." Living it, and reading about it, are two TOTALLY different experiences!

Okay so maybe I mis stated a bit with the IQ thing. But I believe that maturity is knowledge and knowledge in abundance heightens your IQ. So in essence, your IQ can be directly related to your maturity level. I noticed throughout t high school that the students who had the better GPA's generally were more responsible, active in some sort of extra curricular program, or oddly enough, had some sort of family problems that required them to act as an adult to survive. I am in the latter of those examples. I had three jobs while in high school.... I also graduated with a 3.5.

I just cant date anyone my age or older....I have valid reasons. I like the younger ones. We get along so much better and they are sooo much fun (and hot too) lol

A couple years ago I dated a lady 15 years younger. Maturity was missing so it didn't work out. I don't want to grow up.
