Hummm well I have not seen the new dollar Coin as of yet.
Due to I normally do most with my ATM Card as most have started using. But yes I had heard that In God We Trust would be on the edge of the Coin and not taken off. Coul this be to satisfy those that do not want it on the Coin but to also satisfy those that do not want it removed. This way you do not see it on the Main part of the Coin but in reality it is still there. Ohh and as far as where this post should be. It Actually could go in Politics, Current News and Events or Religion. Therefore when it happens it can actually go to more then one Forum it can also stay in General. Due to his post Topic is actually about money and he is refering only to a Quote used not Religion per-say.  Sooooo guess it stays in General.

My son got a couple of the dollar coins as change in a vending machine. He thought they were quarters
Now, he just collects them

*note* this reply is a rant and is not to offend anyone OMG that is it i am so sick and tired of our government bending over backwards to be politically correct...look i don't care if your atheist, jewish, muslim, or whatever but AMERICA was founded on CHRISTIANITY so freaking deal with it...some of us remember where our principles came from and what this country was founded on...if you want to come to this country for a better life please do...the more the merrier but don't freaking come over here bash our country bash OUR culture, our language (which congress should have just freaking declared all of those years ago) and then use our government...when you come over here you became AMERICAN and guess what the majority of us believe in GOD so if that word on our money offends you get the he*L out!!!! Uhm, no... It was founded on the freedom of religion, not on the freedom of any "Christian" religion. Our principals came from political prisoners who were banished from their country and had no where else to go. They came here and said they would not tolerate OPPRESSION of any kind. Last I checked American didn't equal Christian..... I don't care what the money says however, but with all the hub bub about what it says don't you think we wasted alot of money on that, and could have been spent on something else? This country does not have it's priorities in tact in the slightest... Who cares what the money says?? Fix the economy so we actually have some. |

Wow this thread has gotten off topic....I thought it was about a dollar coin that didn't have In God We Trust on it & then we found out it does have it......Personally I don't like carrying coins of any kind on me....but i do collect silver dollars....
I'd rather have the paper money for carrying.....by the way IN GOD WE TRUST is nondenominational.....that's what I like about those words....

we have loads of coins here, one pound coins, 2 pound coins, the rest i throw away. i hate them. makes my purse a bit heavy
