My mom told me about this last night, and i meant to post it for you guys and got busy, Tomatoes have been recalled in six states, citing salmonella. i do not have the states handy, but today at lunch Wendy's in Georgia statewide are not serving tomatoes

I have been on this earth 47 years, this is the first time i've ever heard of salmonella in tomatoes. noway

that's what happens when the pimpled faced kids that put them out dont get paid enough, they dont wash their hands after scraping their behinds or holding their wankers for a pee in the can.

All adults don't wash their hands either. I've been in restaurant restrooms and have seen adults not wash their hands after using the facilities. Ewwwwww.noway

Was wondering about that too winx, maybe it's not the tomatoes, maybe they are mishandled, or using the same knife to cut meat and slice tomatoes... I can't see where an organically grown fruit or vegetable, can in itself contain a bacteria, i suppose it's possible, i mean crops can easily be defecated upon by birds and such. but a six state recall? that would be one busy bird....i just don't understand whats going on here. noway

I've had salmonella twice and wouldn't wish that on anyone

once on an under cooked egg, and second was on precut baby spinach sold as a salad 2 years ago

it's an awful sickness and very hurtful noway

Well I bought the cherry tomatoes for my salads like them best now anyway.

And yes those are not affected.

Matter of fact all the store had was cherry tomatoes and some vine grown ones that still had the stem on them. Must have been the only ones that are okay,.

What I read was most of the bad ones came from Mexico.
