what does the Tao say ... something about if you can name it ... that is not the way ... my my we humans do like our labels don't we ... it gives us categories for people ... we then file them away in our brains under the right index card ... and then we interact with them based upon past experiences noted in that particular file ... trouble is ... what if we are wrong... and we have misfiled them... a judgment upon someone alters our interaction ... and we stop experience the who of them ... in favour of what we think of them ... which at worst is not accurate at all and at best ... incomplete... When I hear someone say that they only speak the truth ... it is important to understand that it is only truth for them ... it is one perspective ... and all of us have been wrong at one time or another ... no one is infallible ...  AMEN!!

Its no living if you stand outside the fire of persicution, I personally have a problem with people in the for-front of Christianity in this country! People like Pat Robertson (who called 4 Hugo Chavez ASSASSANATION on National Television but Yet totally supported a Man by the name of Charles Taylor, the president of Liberia, who is now on trial in the hague 4 war crimes against humanity during the conflict in Sierra Leone, what he didnt tell u was that Pat Robertson owns 60% of the productive diamond mines in Liberia and has a made both himself and Charles Taylor a very rich man. I think its people like Pat Robertson and the late Jerry Falwell, and people like Jim Baker and Jimmy Swaggert, i think these people have distorted what Christianty really means and in my view these people and people like them are Domestic Terriorist who do nothing but inflict there own form of Brain washing on the people that have chosen to look to people like them for guidance. Well like I say...one man's junk is another man's treasure. There are a few people I like but I'm not much for TV... I like to get out there & SEE what people are about by their actions. I have challeneged my own faith. I want to KNOW that what I believe is real & not just playing church. that would be a waste of my time. Honestly...people have accused me of hate for some of what I believe without REALLY knowing me...like how I respond to people etc etc. It's so silly. On my part, I can seperate what I believe from those who do things because they don't know God. I was raised in a city where you see & experience things & people from every walk of life. Liberal I guess you would say. Not too much shocks me. I have run the gammet & now know that the things of this life are a tease...they don't satisfy the soul. There is a part of every person who needs God but we all have to repent of our sins & by doing that we are giving God not only control but Lordship over all we are & have. We are surrending to Him the way Jesus surrendered Himself to die for our sins. That takes ALOT of gentleness that only come from total surrender to God. All the cool things of life were a rues...a lie...a tease. They don't satisfy. I believe that is what Feralcat is saying about the hard hearted. We only have ourselves to blame for that...the choices we made that distracted us. We blame God for our choices instead of being like the prodical son who went back to his father when he saw his ways of error. However God does promise restoration. That is the hope for all mankind.

Ask him why his heart is closed off to God.... But my heart is not closed off to God and as never been closed off to God. I'm not an atheist, and I never have been. I just reject the biblical picture as having anything to do with God. Yes well even the demons believe in God... It is important the a person gets it right WITH GOD. There's only one way...through Christ Jesus. |
