...about this site? This is the only dating site I've been on in 7 years
in which I've gotten email/IMs out of the clear blue saying EXTREMELY
rude things to me, with absolutely NO provaction whatsoever. And I'm not
talking sexual stuff; Lord knows we women all get our share of that (and
I'm sure men do, too.)

But just making preconceived assessments about my character or
personality, what have you. Some bozo just IM'd me stating I was "weird"
because of the personality inventory description I give in my profile.
LOL. Okayyyyy..whatever!

you get freaks and weirdos on every site.and ive noticed alot dont even
read the profiles or i wouldnt have gotten half the crappy ims i did
lol.

Oh, this is true; I've seen plenty of that. I've just never gotten an
email from people attacking me out of the clear blue, for no reason
whatsoever, though. Not blaming the "site," just pointing out it's odd
that that hasn't happened, ever, in seven years I've been on any other
site.

Maybe it's a full moon or something; I don't know.

Possibly your recent "pot" issue post here. Most of us live and let
live. But don't give up, there are some very nice people here.

I guess I would say, try to make friends, not enemies. To each his own,
and I do my best not to judge. Have fun here, you will meet many new
wonderful friends !!

Wow, I haven't gotten any yet.
Maybe it is because I do all the e-mailing.
But I try to be courteous at all times (except for my very first one, I
wanted to stir up the water).

Hey Jean, although we may not have agreed on some things, I'm definitely
not about to e-mail anyone and chew them out. That's just childish. I am
glad to see you're still here, and don't pay those crackers any mind.

I am actually getting some that are bothering me, guys not reading my
profile obviously, states my age clearly. Have the picture of my
grandkids up, granddaughter is 7, some of these dudes apparently think
she is me ---- NOT EVEN CLOSE, read the damn profile (sorry, just
venting, not directed at you regulars). Guess I need to take the pic
down, makes me feel creepy that they are looking at her that way, would
never have thought that. One guy today (38) asked me if I was "too
young" to write him. Hell, didn't even respond, couldn't think of
anything polite to say.

Report his child molestin *ss!! Get crackers like that outta here. Go
back to the e-mail, and hit "report abuse" box, and explain to the
gentlemen that run this place what all he said.

LOL! Well, nothing was stated about my "pot issue," but I've got one
thing to say about that. If someone doesn't like my opinions, tough
****.

That's what "live and let live" means, you know? Giving other people the
right to express their opinion freely without fear of retribution or
criticism. I didn't attack anyone on a personal level, unless it was in
defense of something personal said against me. I never do.

I'm not here to win a popularity contest. I have plenty of friends and
plenty of people actually LIKE the way I think, whether you choose to
believe that or not.

I'm not plastic; what you see is what you get. I'm not going to play as
though I'd screw every guy in here in order to "make friends," I'm not
going to "dumb down" in order to "make friends" and I'm sure as hell not
going to sugarcoat my opinions in order to "make friends."

Like I said, the rude emails were sent without any provocation
whatsoever. And even if it WAS something I had said in the forums, still
doesn't excuse the rude behavior. If I went around sending rude emails
to everyone whose opinions did not echo mine, I'd be busy 24/7.

Thanks Red, have been thinking about that, but have had a few in the
last couple of days tell me my son was beautiful, etc. Don't get it, I
can tell she is a young girl, think I need to take the pic down. I
worked in the prison system for 17 years, and yeah it creeps me out that
anyone may think the wrong thing about her. Thanks for the advice.

And yes Miss Marie, it is freakin sick. I guess all the smart adults
