that drops you at the dime of a hat when they get into a relationship... is it so wrong of me to put her in her place when she drops all set plans and starts ignoring others?

I am just wondering I mean hey... a true friend is there no matter what right? A true friend doesn't just wonder back in to your life when things go sour with who they are dating or when its over... or am I just the only one who thinks that??huh

No, several of my friends do that as well. It gets rather annoying, especially when you're spending time with them and they just chat on their cell phone for hours with their partner.

no I had to cut a friend like this out of my life. she only wants to be my friend when she doesn't have a man and life sucks. like I am supposed to pick up the pieces for her. its a toxic friendship my dear. and sometimes even though you love them you have to let 'em go. At least until they can grow up and take responsibility for their own lives

I hate that. I can understand it a couple of times when the relationship is new, but?

I used to be that way. But I've come to realize that if your new someone can't let you make time for your friends they prolly aren't up to any good ohwell

I say call them on it, Ella! Had many friends in my younger days who did this.
Now? Well, I lost touch with a few 'friends' when my marriage ended. Same sort of thing...they were there only when convenient or for the good times. That's O.K. - it is things like this that reveal the truth about the people in your life.

Why wast time on calling them on it if they didn't care in the first place. Friends will always be your friends.
