But think about it, sex out of wedlock is sin and abomination against God. It's brings a great level of enjoyment and satisfaction. It's sinfully wonderful, I had to sacrifice it, not as a chore but out of the love that God put in me.

Which commandment forbids sex outside of wedlock?

... and please dont give me the "God is great" speech.

I if you could categorise the reason you believe, then what would it be?

Is it, for example, because it was because your parents were that religion

orIs it because most people have a urge to conform, and go along with what everyone else thinks or does. Many people go to church just for for the social aspect of getting together with others, and don't really believe what their churches preach. So what physically makes you believe

Is this thread only about believing in religion or believing in other stuff too ?.

I believe because I have never seen any other explanation that feels right for the sheer variety and bizarreness of the life forms on this planet. And the land itself. So much variety. Complexity, diversity- there is no need for the extent that we see to sustain the planet...

it's extraneous. wonderfully inexplicable.

.... seems like a creator with a love of beauty and sense of humor to me.

Peace and joy.

1. I believe I was created because I did not create myself by myself .
2. I believe all religions are man made because they are primitive in nature , very boring , full of contradictions , and there are not only hundreds of them ,but and unfortunately thousands of them .
3. I believe no one knows about who created this universe and beyond as what I read did not convince me the least .
4 . I believe it is beyond human knowledge to know if there is one God or many Gods : people do not have enough knowledge to know and it is sad as I really wish to know now .
5. I believe it is beyond comprehension to know how something starting from nothing can create all this universe :
I mean starting from nothing ,zero ...!.
5. I believe peace ,fairness ,equality ,justice ,and good are a must since they are our rights .
6. I believe that wars and violence are unnecessary pain and suffering that people should avoid as much as they can .
7. I believe that most politicians are corrupt and most media outlets are dishonest and the proof is the global situation everywhere .
8. I believe LOVE can be found in a dating site .laugh laugh

I believe that I am the one and only God and whosoever shalt not believeth in me shall be cast into the eternal pit of hellfire!

Oh wait a minute,... I think someone else already has a copyright on that story.

Ok, give some more time,... I see if I can come up with something original. smokin

Here is my present world view and belief system:

1.) I believe we are consciousness first and that we create ourselves and our realities via the use of formulas, programs and structures developed within the infinite now. (by us as we are all connected.)

2. I believe we project our consciousness into a holographic matrix which is this, our reality.

3. I believe the humanoid form is the ultimate goal in every universal creation for the housing of conscious self aware individuals to live and have existence and find joy in the doing and being of life, love, growth and creation, ever expanding, ever living, learning and creating.

And of course I believe in infinite dimensions, universes, worlds within worlds, all manner of entities and life forms that can be imagined.

Imagination rules the world. It also creates the worlds.

Love is my supreme being, its the only thing that consistantly brings good news and it is the only thing that can truly change anything that sees fit. With it by itself, there is no hate, there is no sorrow, there is no turmiol and there is no pain. There is no war and there is no persicution. It by its self rules.

Physically, it has not been what drove me to press in and with importunity seek the Holy Spirit.

It was so that I could ttalk to God and be identified with Jesus Christ, period.

I never imagined how great his love and affection would change my life.

Lost a wife over it. She couldn't handle the change. It hurt then, but the love dfrom God was stronger.

I just happened to read the Bible twice through in '86 , cover to cover and saw the allegories and metaphors pointing to Jesus through it all.

That encouraged me to pray without ceasing for the Holy Spirit, come what may.

That took quite a few months.

I had money, a construction company, a fine house in an exclusive neighbor hood, had started many businesses and was rich in the world's sense of things, but this gripped me.

I was ypoung, strong, rich, healthy, attractive and popular and loved to drink and gamble and get carried away, but it wasn't satisfying the hole and emptiness in my heart.

I was wearing out the thrill of being a climber.

My family sought to put me in a straight jacket and get me debriefed.

But some older friendds that my dad respected made it clear to hom that I was fine.

When I got the news of this attempted coup, I laughed.

I confronted mt dad.

He said, "well, I didn't do it, after all, so I guess no harm was done."

laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

It was one thing for me to be whack and drinking and having a ball being reckless and dangerous, but quite another for them to see me sober and on fire for the Lord.

Twenty plus years have passed and it's still true.

Oh well, have a good day.

peace, if you dare.laugh

The beauty, wonder, and amazement, at the creation of all life. From a human being to the metamorphosis of a butterfly. The complexity involved is too much to happen by chance.

The subconscious of the human mind that tells us all that there must be some greater force involved. From the first humans on Earth this has proved true. Even when separated by Oceans without contact, humans on every continent felt this and all developed Religions. That in itself convinces me that a greater more powerful entity than us exists.

I believe because I can.

I believe that which I experience, that which affects me, that which is....

I believe in me.

Without that, I have nothing.

Perhaps I believe in Nothing.
