I know I am registered Independant, but sompne said sheeple was a left wing word, and it is like my favorite word to use. I have only heard sheeple on this web site. It is a left wing terminology, and those of the independent side. I guess they mean it to be a blind follower. To that end I myself find it highly offensive. I am a Christian. Jesus is our (Christians') Shepherd and we, his people are referred to in the Bible as His sheep. Jesus gave instructions to his deciples to "tend to My sheep." It may sound like a 'cute' word, but the intentions behind it are demeaning and disrespectful of another's opinion and viewpoints. When you get left wing, out goes the Christian faith. Lindyy 
Now that is insulting and demeaning!! You saying Democrats and Independents are not Christians. Not only is it wrong, but is such an unchristian thing to say that it could only come from a Right wing Evangelical. Sheeple stand on both sides of the isle. Sheeple is a term of disparagement, a portmanteau created by combining the words "sheep" and "people"; a reference to herd mentality. It is often used to denote persons who acquiesce to authority, and thus undermine their own human individuality. ... A Bushie is a sheeple as well as a Clintonian! It is someone who believes everything their great leader says regardless of the proof that exist otherwise. Kinda like if that person were God and could do no wrong! Jesus was crucified (and God had this planned from the beginning, read your Bible it is all through the old Testament and Jesus confirmed it all though the New Testament) for our salvation and forgiveness of sins. Lindyy

Left wing is liberal in their views on social as well as big govt. largess issues. They are more for social engineering on social issues than the individual. They think that the govt. can do a better job than you with your money.
Right wing is about conserving our constitution & bill of rights. Less govt. interferance & less social engineering. right wing also believes in a "Republic" form of govt., meaning representative of all the states equally. That's the short of it. |
